I don't blame you M for thinking GameFAQs is garbage. Just like a lot of forums, really. I think they don't get much sunshine.
RE6 is way better than 7 and 8. Try telling them that, and they go into crazy mode. Gee.

I left that forum a few months ago. I could just sense they weren't nice people. So it felt like a waste of time to chime in my thoughts on GameFAQs.
I only posted there because it's like, the only active forum remaining for games, apart from NeoGAF. Otherwise, you would have to go on Facebook where you are forced to use your real name, and it's just nothing like a classic forum.
Unfortunately, forums are not how they were in the mid-2000s. Why would they be? It's 2023. But I don't care about Twitter, which is now going by the name X, or Discord.

I haven't been following gaming lately, so I don't know what competition it has.
Personally, I don't think it's as great as the original. It wasn't by any means bad. It was better than 2 and 3, but I still don't think it's astonishing.

With Gamescom beginning tomorrow, you never know. Capcom could have quite the surprise lined up.
If RE9 is announced soon, it better not be some other ridiculous fantasy game, with unusual enemies like they had in the last two RE Engine sequels. And no more first person, please. I think I have had enough of that for the time being.
I wouldn't be surprised if aliens will be on the card at some point. I mean, it just feels like they're making up things as they go along now.
