General Some love for RE6...

Wesker cannot come back, which is why they just conjured up his sister. However, I like her. She has potential.

It's a running gag in horror, to be honest. Jason had a niece. Freddy had a daughter. They kill the villains and they go to Hell. Yet it takes many sequels before they are even mentioned, which means it can feel randomly inserted to fans.

When you stop viewing fictional environments as characters. Until then, no.

Ah, so you're denying that I don't find characters boring because I frame locations as characters. I see: you're just being dumb on purpose.

Now everything makes sense, including your fantasies that I'm obsessed with Wesker: you're just a stupid person.

I have no reason to answer any of your paragraphs, because I won't write anything that you can interpret correctly.

Going back to buzzwords, huh?

About you being stupid? No, that's my genuine opinion after all the experience of arguing with you.

If you so passionately want to believe that I find the characters boring but obsessed with Wesker, then I'm giving you carte blanche. You suck at understanding other people and logical thinking, but you can at least develop your imagination.

It's good that Caffeine Addict will keep you company for now, if he doesn't find out later how easily you can talk shit behind his back. On the other hand, he might never know. You may even realize that if a person believes that BIO6 is not a survival horror game, then you can still be friends and respect each other, lmao.

It's too late for me personally. If I kept talking to you today because I had a glimmer of respect for you, then not anymore. What for? You don't listen to me and you think you know me better than I know myself. Guess you can keep having fun with this fictional Russ in your head who pees his pants at the sight of Wesker and yawns at the sight of Leon, ha-ha!

Well, RE9 is officially in the works. I agree that Leon is pretty regular, though, which hurts the survival horror appeal. And as such, his outings turn the scare factors down several notches.

Fingers crossed that it's not about little green aliens from Jupiter flying above the BSAA headquarters, or whatever crazy stuff we know Capcom is capable of mustering up next. The whole Lady D thing really sucked and it was just nonsense Capcom pulled for stay at home simps, in my opinion. :D

Seriously, though. Blue Umbrella has to be involved in the plot, or I will just see it as being another side story that will likely go nowhere. Please continue on about what they are doing, Capcom, as that totally has me interested.

Everything else? Likely gonna be forgettable trash. Unless of course they bring back Billy, Ada, Jake, or some other hero we have not seen in what feels like half a century.

There's just so much lost potential, which has hurt this franchise in particular.

If Leon really is in IX, then I think the storylines of 7 and 8 will be held off, as it feels like this is better reserved for Chris and his followers. But I also want to see Alex Wesker again, as Natalia will be grown up by now. 😶

Ah, the joy of never knowing what Capcom will spring on us next. ☺️

I think so, but the franchise has ended up so disjointed that I feel like it will takes many years yet to lead anywhere. This is why I prefer the older games. When it was just easy to focus on whatever Umbrella or Wesker specifically was doing, and not having all these villains that may or may not be affiliated with them at the helm. Or Capcom could just gloss over it.

RE6 feels more like a reboot, but it references a lot from the past. So it isn't as bad. It is all the games since that are a bigger issue. It kind of comes across as lacking in an understandable progression, if you know what I mean. RE8 was mind blowingly silly.

I do not get that game one bit. Everything in it is super bad. Even how the BSAA thinks it is right to relocate a targeted family to Romania makes zero logical sense. But since RE8 is over with and Ethan is out of the picture, we can try to forget it exists.

It's funny how fans bash RE6 the most out of 4, 5 and 6 when they all play the same, and 6 is the only game that feels like RE, because of the urban setting and zombies being involved. Sure, other enemies like the dogs, Hunters and all that are absent, but 6 definitely resembles RE more than 4 and 5, because 4 and 5 have villagers, a rural setting, and more caves. But in 6, you still enter tombs as well.

Lickers are in 5 though, so that's cool. But 4, 5 and 6 are all very similar. And 6 has better controls. I hated how in 4, you had to place shots where you stood, meaning axes could hit you from any direction. It was kind of nippy. So you would think fans would be happy they gave players room to move.
