General Random Thoughts: Biohazard/Resident Evil edition

Yesterday, I bought a yearly subscription to CyberLink PowerDirector 365 video editor and now that I can do things I couldn't do before with my old video editor I bought 20 years ago. I can now use MP4 MKV WEBM videos and I can upconvert my videos and image to 4K.

Anyway, now that I have this new software, I'm reediting my Ninja Turtle videos of gaming walkthroughs and rare commercials and putting them on my new YouTube channel and relink them to my TMNT Forever website. What I'm going to do is when I'm finished uploading all the revised Ninja Turtle videos, I'm going to go to my Resident Evil YouTube channel and upconvert those gaming walkthrough videos to support 4K now that the older games are now available on the PS4/PS5. So basically what I'm saying is that once I finish upgrading my Ninja Turtle videos project, I'm going to do the same for my Resident Evil collection. Then in a few months, when my credit debts are paid off, I might consider resurrect my old Resident Evil website. It was removed when Webs was bought by Vista Print and I didn't know how to transfer the site account over.

So I'm going to be busy with this project and I'm doing this not just for community purposes, but for skill building of web development as a hobby.

During the Nintendo Direct, there was a clip of Resident Evil Requiem for Switch...

Resident Evil 2 Videos are up and more is coming...

Anyone ever play Outbreak on the PS2? From what I’ve seen it looks like something where your teammates can easily troll you. But it also looks pretty damn good, I didn’t think much of it but it adds a lot more context to RC than I would have expected for something so obscure.

Out of all the old titles recently added to new consoles, they leave out the one with an actual 4 player co-op. What a joke.

An absolute ton on the day it released and never stopped. Still play on PC via Emu online to this day. There's a thread I made to get people started on here.

If I knew a while back that all I’d be playing is ps2/3 games rn I would’ve been hopped on the PC train. SHIT.

My ps2 missing an online adapter, and them outbreak CDs on eBay look so rundown.

In RE9 there's some kind of virus called Elpis, but I thought of this weird drink I bought in Japan called Calpis and can't shake off the association. They want everyone to drink the Calpis and evolve.

Just a heads up, it appears the game is out in the wild now and spoilers will probably start popping up on social media soon. For anyone trying to avoid spoilers, it might be best to avoid a lot of places like X, Reddit, Youtube, etc for the next 10 days.

For anyone that still hasn't played Requiem a spoiler alert>
After playing Resident Evil Requiem, I couldn[t help but notice the similarities (withouth considering the viral agents/and mutations) for the story beats of Grace Ashford and the character played by Alan Richtson in the movie "Playdate" (out on Prime Video), i know its mostly a comedy movie, but the way both stories deal with clones and also the way the adult character sort of become a mentor or parent to the younger ones, and how most of the clones turn out to be evil in the end. Grace ends up killing the Marie clone, and Ritchson kills all clones, but Grace tries to save Emily , and Ritchson saves one of the boys clones, since he bonds with him, and eventually the relationship evolves to a father-and-son kind of thing.

I wasn’t sure if I could keep going in forever running Leon’s warehouse segment until new content drops, so I figured I’d go back to 6 in the meantime.

Then I realized I’d never played 7 or 8, Dardside Chronicles & Outbreak #2. Like for the past year every time I’d finish a resident evil game, 10 more pop up to fill the void and it’s amazing.

Pretty great fixes for the pre RE Engine PC games.

Hide cursor and borderless for RE1 and RE0 is a godsend.

Hey, peeps.

Not disappointed with Capcom any more, and I believe in fact, Capcom will be on the up from here on in.

I know I displayed a lot of angst towards Capcom. I do stick to my guns on why I felt how I did. Many of the games in the past were not uninteresting at all - just that I felt the storylines were constantly chucking in too many odd twists, and kind of going nowhere. But Capcom have earned my respect once again. 🧟‍♂️ 🧟‍♀️

Who's gonna be revealed as Leon's lucky lady, eh?💍🤭
