RE4 Which platform did you play RE4 on?

I wish they would update the original RE4, so we can move and shoot.

The new RE games play like absolute shit. Although the RE4 remake is quite good, why can't this reflect with sequels?

Before playing re4's gamecube version on an emulator, ı would have agreed with you but ever since playing that, ı find myself liking the controls of re4 there which is probably the only time where ı like tank controls. Since ı also played wii version, ı found the controls same as gamecube release and have no reason to not like them there either. Personally the whole idea of porting the previous games to re engine just to add very minor things like moving while shooting or better graphics seem boring to me. I'm also playing re:4 now, recording my modded session with re6 leon wearing his jacket on pc.

I would love to hear your commentary on the series in a video of your own. Half these YouTubers I come across usually sound too knackered, or drunk.

I dont like to comment during the recording of my videos cause it would cause distraction for me. During the recordings of my videos, ı find myself focusing on the gameplay and story of the games ı see myself enjoying more than before, even the ones that ı might be skipping their cutscenes about. Plus ı'm kinda shy and for those reasons you state, they are another reason why ı dont prefer to comment that much.

I used to make videos, but nobody was really interested in viewing them. They're only into content creators that can edit in a fancy way, although I felt that what I said was otherwise spot on.

The trouble is, I would get out of breath quickly, and I don't think people could make me out properly because my accent is rather thick. So I realized I wasn't really gonna gain any traction, besides receiving reoccurring harassment from that one troll I am always being targeted by.

I managed to download re4's 2007 pc version from somewhere. I started playing that a bit and to me, ı dont understand why this port is considered bad by many on internet. I started playing it with a controller and ı think the support is more enjoyable than the version on steam where ı was more struggling with the game at that. Sure it's not supposed to be played with a keyboard and mouse but none of the games other than re6 technically are. That's still the only game where ı can find myself enjoying it with both keyboard and mouse as well as controller options.

Ok so ı finished playing leon's story on re4's 2007 pc port. I enjoyed playing it but the cutscenes were blurry without being bothered by them that much. Despite this, this still became my favourite port to play re4 personally. I honestly dont understand what's so bad about it cause to me, it felt as much polished as it needed to be compared to ps2 version that this port seems to be based on. Imo re4 didnt need a 2nd pc port at all, ı didnt have problem enjoying 2007 version and it doesnt matter to me that much if the cutscenes look blurry cause ı can still enjoy the acting of them for what it is. I also recorded clips of certain sections but the recording placement wasnt properly done so ı would still need to go to other versions to record footage from it more properly.

While this hasn't quite been confirmed, certain RE games may be getting PS5 remasters this summer.

They could even be released at the end of July. But to be honest, I don't care enough about them to purchase the titles all over again...

I still hate the fact that og re2 and re3 arent available on steam and ps4 stores unlike their re engine fake counterparts. But despite that, re4 got a 2nd pc port after 2007 one and it's on steam along with re:4. Why not do this with re2 and re3 as well? Allow the players to experience the stories in different ways. That's not even getting into the fact that recv, dead aim, outbreak games and chronicles games arent on pc unlike survivor which got a pc port of all things. All capcom seems to like in the series is re4 and nothing more.

I finished fully playing re4's 2007 pc version. I completed separate ways today. It was overall as enjoyable as ı expected and ı wasnt bothered by ada's cutscenes as much as in 2014 one due to their quality being kept more similar to leon's. However saddler boss fight felt much worse than it ever did before and for some reason, sound effects werent even coming out properly during the fight. I always disliked that fight and in re:4, ı still dislike it even though it can come off better executed depending upon the play style.

I've actually been randomly nostalgic for the Wii version lately, so plan to play it on the Dolphin emulator with an official Wiimote and lightbar sensor for PC. Just ordered the peripherals.

I played wii version on dolphin emulator with a controller and the controls work fine in my opinion. Personally ı prefer laser over crosshair cause aiming is more enjoyable that way to me. By comparison, the crosshair can come off more distracting.

Well yeah, I adore the game on controller, but there's only so many hundreds of runs I can do over all this time. I just had an itch to try it again, it's a different feel completely. It actually felt pretty great, was a memorable run.
