The Merchant's new voice actor sounds close enough to the original. I can't even say the same about Jack Krauser's voice actor in BioHazard 4 REmake.
Yeah. I agree. He doesn't sound the same. 
Add Ada, too. I thought she was just fine in RE2 Remake, and now holy crap what a curve ball.
Apparently, it's not the same voice actress as whoever it was playing her in RE2. And I recall NightCrawler talking about it in one of his rant videos.
