OT OT Game Discussion

I'm not a collector so I have no problem picking up STALKER 2 on Green Man Gaming next time it's on sale after I finish the FANTASTIC Silent Hill 2 remake. People don't realize how much of an advantage it is of having never gotten into the original game, probably makes it x2 better at least. I never even owned a PS2 thanks to Mikami!

Looks like I'm gonna have to waited on Avowed because they are charging 70 USD for it and reports are it's not going to be a very long game like say, Witcher 3 so it's probably definitely not worth launch price. STALKER 2 otoh is bound to go in sale soon and it has had time to get patched together to a degree so it makes much more sense to go there next.

2025 is looking good so far and hopefully no later than summer we will get some concrete information on RE9 we can discuss and dissect.

Interesting that makes sense, it's a fresh experience and you are not judging every little thing they changed. You can just enjoy it for what it is.

Warner Brothers shutting down Monolith Studios. A sad day, Monolith had lots solid titles under their belt (F.E.A.R. series, Condemned, Mordor, etc.), but I think its mostly a case of having a hard time finding talented developers keeping the brand afloat and launching successful new IP's.

I think a F.E.A.R. remake could have gone a long way to keeping them alive because that game has actually aged very well and still plays very nicely, which is unprecedented for a first person shooter. I think they should have at least launched a hail mary and remade the game before pulling the plug. Horror games are doing very nicely these days and F.E.A.R. is a solid horror game so it was definitely worth the effort I think. Crapola.
