OT OT Game Discussion

Lots of people turn to Steam when the console market dries up, for you can experience horror games, new and old, at a good cost.

I wonder why Crying is not Enough was cancelled for the PS4.
Because the developers did not pay the voice actors, so it was even delisted off of Steam I believe.

I really hope this is all true, indie developers have been desperately trying to fill the void left behind by SH’s absence. We are long overdue for a resurgence for a AAA psychological horror experience.

I'm still skeptical, but the decision to make a remake seems pretty reasonable.

As far as I remember the situation, Konami have some problems with the source codes, and the last attempt to update titles for the seventh generation of consoles ended in disaster, because the developers were given raw builds to work with.

Based on this, it's really easier to make a frame-by-frame remake than kicking a corpse.

I am grateful if Konami wants to even revisit the dormant franchise at all. But I think I would rather see a new storyline. Maybe another guy with an amnesia like ailment has a missing wife, or a sibling, or a pet. Maybe the owner of the Shiba Inu is in Silent Hill, looking for the dog's whereabouts. :p

It's no secret how much I adore TLOU, but one of the more underrated bits of the game was its Factions multiplayer. It's already been said by ND that the new TLOU multiplayer has outgrown its original scope. Leaks seem to think we'll be seeing a much more single player level of quality experience online with our friends, which is very appealing. As someone who has yearned for more Outbreak esque experiences for decades now, something as such with TLOU would be a dream come true. I'd expect original modes from Factions as well, but the main course something more in line with the leaks suggesting Division, Tarkov, etc. A world to explore PvEvP would be incredible with the level of detail ND has put into the series. Sony said it will have two unannounced live service games added by its 2022 fiscal year (March 2023) so there is a pretty solid shot it'll be a full fledged F2P TLOU Online.

Come to think of it, I never see Rod on Biohaze much anymore. And on the old forum, there was a member called Stu. We haven't heard a peep from him in years. :D

Really looking forward to The Callisto Protocol. Between Silent Hill and Dead Space being MIA for about a decade, I am starving for these 3rd person horror games. It makes me think of Project ILL in many ways and is not shy to show meat chunks flying everywhere.

With this, Dead Space Remake, and REmake 4 coming out back to back, I couldn’t be happier even if it’s a bit of a rehash. We needed another horror resurgence badly.

For a second I thought it was Dead Space, game looks really good.

Final Fantasy XVI looked a bit underwhelming tbh, hope they iron it out but just doesn't grab me like almost every title has in the past. Still going to give it a shot day one as it's FF, but hoping to see some better showings.

Yeah I fell out of love for FF after X. None have really grabbed me as well as the classics ever since. The summons look awesome but other than the fancy graphics the gameplay and systems of newer games have been underwhelming to me.

Missed these screens, they look pretty nice. Definitely hypes me up a bit more, trailer was seemingly just to show one main aspect of the game.
