I really HATE it when games are announced via transmissions, or whatever, just to take years to get an official release window. So if you only play a niche number of games, then it can be a rather boring wait for something to come out.

I find too that the older I get the less willing I am to play new games unless they are part of a series I played in the past or by a game director who made something I enjoyed in the past. That's why Resident Evil is so important to me. So yeah, I know how painful the wait can be

When you're young you feel the need to experiment and try things.

When you're old you lock yourself into a stable pattern.

Both have their ups and downs I guess. Youthful adventuring and boundary pushing is fun and all but you run the risk of getting caught up into the wrong things and getting yourself into trouble. Old man stability works good but you find yourself less tolerant and more cynical of innovative ideas.
