It's been quite some time and it feels like as good a time as any to announce Biohazard with MH in the rearview mirror. How're we feeling?

On the off chance it is announced, I secured tickets and will be front and center for the announcement in Los Angeles. Hoping for a historic night!

Yeah. I think a degree of RE news is imminent. Whether that's RE9 or another remake, Capcom is cooking with gas. But I wouldn't be surprised if a remake of RE1 is announced this June.

There's also The Sinking City 2. It comes out in December. And I think it looks better than the first one.

I'd prefer they take their time than release an inferior product. As nice as an announcement would be, often no news is good news.

I think we have had no news for quite long enough, thank you very much. Even if it's something small like a 30 second teaser trailer with little/no gameplay would be better than then the complete silence we have been getting.

Even if the trailer sucks we could provide the right feedback and make sure they don't screw it up. See SH2R for reference.

Yeah, I think that's been the point actually. We know it's been in development for quite some time now, so it may have silently "missed" some big reveals multiple times already, so we know it's well cooked.

I think the remake could be revealed this summer, then RE9 could be at the Game Awards, or a Capcom showcase. I just feel that the 30th anniversay would be more important.

I'd say its extremely likely now that Wilds has been released. Outside of Onimusha Way of the Sword (which I also hope we see more of), we know pretty much nothing about what Capcom has planned to release over the next fiscal year. I think it's happening.

I just hope if it is open world like the rumors suggest, its not bogged down by Ubisoft copy and paste towers/objectives and that it runs well (MH Wilds and Dragon's Dogma 2 show that the RE Engine struggles quite a bit with open world).

Dusk Golem is a credit to RE fans. The landfill of hate posters in regards to his mistakes is quite ridiculous.

If he actually ends up being correct, I doubt the likes of GameFAQs will even admit their sorry asses were petty.

Capcom and Epic Games.

I'll choose to be optimistic and say we're in for a fairly good time.

I could be pessimistic and feel that we will only get a small snippet of info about Onimusha and Okami along with yet another Fortnite skin but who needs that, right?

Outside of Biohazard I'm excited about the potential of quite a bit still. Arc Raiders has really taken me by surprise, a few of you know how hyped I was about TLOU Faction 2 and when it was cancelled it legit hurt, but this game has so much of its DNA I'm beyond excited to play the full version.

I hope RE9 will focus on where RE7 left off, where we learn more about the Connections. The thing with the BSAA sending bioweapons to assist Chris in RE8 also sounds really engaging, as it suggests the BSAA or Umbrella is up to no good. But I hope they remember to not ignore these points.

This Indonesian horror game also looks interesting.

I regret selling my horror games collection. Sellers on eBay are now charging hundreds of pounds per title. 😲

Outside of RE9 being announced, Frontier Developments is there and Jurassic World Evolution 3 is heavily rumored to be revealed so hoping that's the case. The first and second games I've put over a 1000 hours into combined so I'm ready for more. Wish we'd get more info on Jurassic Park Survival but Saber isn't on that list so feels like we might be waiting a bit longer for that one. Also looking forward to Digimon Stories: Time Traveler from Bandai. It's starting to feel like E3 again.

In one of Dusk's recent rumour strees, did he say RE9 was gonna be another self-contained storyline? I mean, I will support the game either way. I love RE.

The thing is, I would appreciate the revisitation of the plot of previous games. Specifically Revelations 2 or RE6. It just seems like they kind of bounce around too much, introducing a new bad guy or virus, mould, or whatever, then overlooking a few things that have yet to be cleared up. It leaves little room for existing stuff to be expanded upon when Capcom enjoys shifting the focus on to other regions, which is still interesting.

But I guess this is what happens when too many franchise players come into play. Like, I was sad to see a news report on Revelations 3 being canned. That isn't to say it's a forever decision. But I think Alex Wesker was supposed to be the main villain in that title, and I would have definitely loved to play as Rebecca again.

It's interesting that a PlayStation event has not been announced yet, as there is usually one around this time. I think this increases the chance of RE9 being announced at Summer Game Fest.
