Leaker Addresses Resident Evil 9 Jill Rumors
New information about Resident Evil 9 shows up, contextualizing other rumors floating around about Jill Valentine's involvement in the game's story.

And when they do they one shot them, so what's the point. Alex Wesker could have been the future, instead of a quick interlude.Someone who spreads rumors telling everyone that someone else's rumors are fake. Good one!
Sounds like a classic Coke vs. Pepsi competition.
I do agree that the main characters are getting old and boring though, the problem with Capcom is they have struggled to create good new ones in recent years!
I never take any of the movies or tv shows seriously, I'm only interested in the games.Yesterday, I seen news about another movie reboot. And it's like, oh my God. How many times does Capcom have to return to 1998, specifically?
Any rehashing, I will just ignore in my head. I only want to concentrate on RE9 moving forward. As this is getting to be so boring.
I'd like to see a game that retains the exploration and puzzle type gameplay of RE7, but with a 3rd person camera option and more of a connection to the Resident Evil of the past.
One thing that differentiates Silent Hill from Biohazard (aside from the occult/religious horror themes as opposed to science fiction horror themes) is that Biohazard traditionally has special forces/police trained protagonists as opposed to everyman protagonists (a Silent Hill staple). It's important to have new characters too. I feel the regular ragtag group, being so OP, eliminates the tension to an extent. This is why I prefer Silent Hill type games, because they always deliver on creepiness. And RE used to have that, until it became too action oriented.
To be fair, I never had a problem finding ammunition in the older games (except playing as Chris in BIO 1 first time waaaay back at the start of the game). Common sense just dictacted to not go around wasting ammo and look through every nook and cranny and sure enough the game provided adequate resources. Strangely enough I ran into more ammo scarcity issues in the post-RE6 games, especially on the harder difficulties, so I have a hunch people may have a nostalgia for something that could be illusional to a degree. To me, horror is the isolation. Finding stuff. Making every bullet matter. Etc.
To me, horror is the isolation. Finding stuff. Making every bullet matter. Etc. But RE4 just shits on that when you have to find money to become like Rambo. Not that I don't generally enjoy what RE4, 5 and 6 provides. But RE4 just feels overrated as a "horror" game. That was when it became rather arcade-esque.
Different people like different things. There has been no death of the franchiseRE4 really was the first "death" of the franchise. RE6 really killed it. 7 brought it back. But 8 had me feeling disgust.
Well, the series is technically alive and well and still making good money, but inconsistency is not good for any series as fans expect certain things and does lead to arguments and contradictions among the fanbase, and no developer should laugh at fan infighting as they continuously find new ways to change the franchise and "grab new fans" while pissing off the old ones.Different people like different things. That's fair, I like both and in most cases you still have to find the weapon. I just think that the addition of a merchant to RE games hasn't ruined anything and has made upgrading weapons a bigger part of the game. I thoroughly enjoy hunting around for treasures and working towards maxing out my favourite gun.I personally prefer modifications over dropping points on upgrades with a merchant. It just seems more grounded and realistic to me
A game series that has been running for nearly 30 years is going to have some changes along the way, the devs need to try new things and some will like those changes and others won't. The series has had it's highs and lows for me too. For me the low point was RE6 and then my hope for the future was restored with RE7 / REmake2 and the return of classic gameplay elements in full 3D. But I still respect that there are people who really like RE6 and I don't want to take away from their memories. Not to say that you can't criticise a game but sometimes in fan communities the negativity can go too far particularly from certain members.Well, the series is technically alive and well and still making good money, but inconsistency is not good for any series as fans expect certain things and does lead to arguments and contradictions among the fanbase, and no developer should laugh at fan infighting as they continuously find new ways to change the franchise and "grab new fans" while pissing off the old ones.
I'm a big fan of Revelations 2, I enjoyed it more than Revelations 1. They really did a great job with Barry BurtonI think Revelations 2 though, again funnily enough, is one of the better third person RE experiences. I like the story.
