RE9 The Game Awards '25

There's no secret at this point, RE:9 is a mere few months away and quite literally not much has been shown of it. All roads lead to TGA as being a big showcase for Biohazard. Let's use this thread to predict, share ideas and live impressions once the event goes off.

What do you want/need to see from Biohazard there? Expect to see?
 
- I want to see a another playable character that is returning from a previous game, and if that turns out to be Leon I want to see a glimpse of Ada too.

- I want to see some gun play ... maybe find out what this high stakes action is Geoff Keighley mentioned at Summer Game Fest, which might have something to do with the 'remaining elements' that were included from the discarded open world multiplayer game that Kumazawa talked about.
 
I feel like we NEED a big gameplay and story trailer here. Release is 3 months away and they've have almost quite literally been drip feeding information since the announcement.

What do I want to see? Lets put the Leon rumors to rest already and see him already. Start the trailer off with him, show his story and gameplay sections. Then switch to Grace and show off more of her gameplay. I want to see actual combat and enemies. Show zombies attacking our characters, show some other creatures in the game and show off some more classic Raccoon City locations. Honestly, anything that's not the first segment of the game that we've seen over and over again with the stalker monster hunting Grace would be ideal.
 
I'm hoping for some vintage horror footage rather than the Grace and Alyssa "reunion" we keep seeing.

Getting really excited for this Thursday! I've avoided all of the apparent leaks, trying to go in pure. Shenmue IV was a hoax, but I'm sure there will be some other pretty good stuff too, but BIO9 is the priority.

The area downtown really gets up for TGA too, nice time of year. This was a couple years back after TGA ice skating right in front of the theater all decked out in The Finals ads, another game I adore.

In Village the short playable section as Chris was an in-game surprise and he was not shown as playable in any of the trailers before release. So if Leon is shown as a playable character at The Game Awards, then I think we can conclude that he will have a more significant playable role than Chris did in Village. I'm predicting / hoping that will be the case 🤞

Only 11 hours to go ... the wait is killing me!

I haven't been this excited about a game event in a long time, feels like the good days of E-3 in a way. Heading down there in 30 minutes to beat the traffic. Talk to everyone later tonight after the show and I'll update the site then. LFG!

He looks so fucking good, way better than the leaks that were floating around too! Oh man, the chainsaw kill, the kick, its great! Loving the outfit too, Capcom cooked.

Also "I think I want a second opinion" and then proceeds to spin kick a zombie across the room, blow up a zombie's head and then chainsaw another poor fucker. He's not stuck in the room with the zombies, they're stuck in there with him lmao.
