RE9 PlayStation State of Play (Possible Spoilers)

The next State of Play is almost here, with 1 hour of 3rd party content promised.
We should get something from Requiem, maybe even the final launch trailer?

Edit: Here is the Requiem trailer from the show:

I’ll have to skip it, it’s bad enough YouTube has been leaking characters that are in the game via thumbnails. Wanna go in as blind as possible.

No way. I’m going to see that for myself, and I hope you’re not talking about AI garbage. I really want to see who’s in now

Sherry made it 🥹

Are these the Wesker children?

Maybe this is a later group of children from Victor Gideon's experiments taking into account what was learned from Albert Wesker.

Maybe the rejects we see crawling out of the walls are the results of what’s left over from his project. Maybe that’s why he wants Grace so bad, he’s desperately looking for a 'Wesker'. If he wanted blood to enhance his strain, that would have been easy as she’s been captured already from what I’ve seen.

The other dead survivors are probably the parents of them. I guess there should be a spoiler thread or something...

Wow what a trailer, hype is in overload right now. So glad we're only two weeks away.

Are these the Wesker children?

I feel like it has to be right? Not sure what else would cause glowing red eyes. Notice they're also blocking a man sitting down (Spencer perhaps?).

Victor also says something very interesting in the trailer as he mentions his "Master" confirming hes not the big bad. If the main villian isn't Brandon Bailey, then the only other guess I have is Spencer pulled a Wesker and is back himself.

I added (Possible Spoilers) to the title. I figure we are just talking about what is in the trailer itself which Capcom are happy for us to see, but it is getting close to release now so everyone has to make the call if they engaging radio silence or not.

I didn't notice there was a man sitting behind one of the children with his head blocked! It could be Spencer or Dr. Wesker?

Another interesting tidbit in the trailer. The T-Virus is reactivating and mutating in the Raccoon City survivors after lying dormant for so long. Outside of Jill (who already was given the cure by Carlos in 3), that leaves the fate of Claire, Ada, Carlos, and the Outbreak survivors as unknown. Sherry appears to be Leon's comms person this time, hard to say if shes suffering the same fate or not but I'd believe her having the G-Virus in her body might stop such effects. That said, she does appear to be wearing gloves in the trailer so maybe not... Chris, Rebecca and Barry are hard to say since they weren't in the middle of the Outbreak in Raccoon City but they were exposed at the Mansion Incident so I wonder if they'll get any mentions as well.

Funnily enough, I just played through RE:3 not too long ago as a lead up to Requiem and I found this file in Jill's apartment in particular to be extremely interesting (and it seems like its becoming relevant).

Seems like Jill was onto something here.

Yeah I did wonder if the Outbreak cast all died off screen but that seems pretty weak, hopefully they are just non-characters. Then again Alyssa and Grace are part of the plot so...

It seems that the girl Grace finds in the care center is going to go with Grace:

One of my least favorite things about the modern game-design of the RE Engine Resident Evil titles is that they spell out the objectives right on the screen. I don't care if it's a reminder of what the current objective actually is. It takes me out of the game's world.

I wish the series never started doing that. Too "gamey" and "hand-holdy". The older titles never needed that, and without it, it kept you immersed as you tried to remember/figure out everything yourself.

Not the biggest deal if the survival horror aspect of the gameplay is still there, but the devil's still in the details.

I'm sure they are just reminders of things you discover naturally in game.
I'm intrigued as to why you have to take the girl to the puzzle box? Do you discover she has a special skill that is useful for solving the puzzle, and I'm looking forward to finding out what the puzzle box is exactly it looks interesting.

…more interested in whether or not she’s going to have any game-breaking feats like Natalia.
