General Mikami's New Title UNBOUND x SHIFT UP

I'm extremely excited about this. My all time GOAT Mikami is teaming up with another Kim Hyung-tae, creator of Stellar Blade and generational artist.

Being Mikami-san I feel it deserves it's own thread.

Love Stellar Blade. I haven't put my whole mind into it, but I will at some point. I love it, though.

I would love to see where Shift Up goes next, and this announcement only solidifies that, and makes me curious about what this acquisition will bring.

Mikami's work is great. I'd like to see what his next game is, and what he'll do under the Shift Up umbrella. (lol, no pun intended, btw.)

Cautiously optimistic. I generally have respect for Mikami and RE -as we old folk knew it- basically died when he left Capcom but I just hope this title is not some kind of a massive budget game that targets a wide audience or they are literally just as bad as Capcom.

EDIT: Found this:

Mikami is actively developing a "fairly large" and "high-end" original IP powered by Unreal Engine 5 for PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC, describing the project as a "masterpiece" that will feature AAA quality with AA content volume.

Still cautiously optimistic. If it has AAA polish but AA "content volume" it may not be so bad. They are not trying to be Rockstar, CD Projekt Red, or worst of all, Capcom so that in itself is a relief.

Excited for whatever this turns out to be. I really enjoyed my time with Stellar Blade and will buy a sequel day one, so my curiosity is peaked with what these two will cook up together.
