As we all saw iLeon was wearing a ring in RE9. EuroGamer got the scoop from Nakinishi-san officially:

"The answer will become clear some day, but not just yet. What we wanted to convey in the final scene is simple: Leon now has a 'place to go home to', and we hope you can imagine the peaceful moments he spends there," Nakanishi told Eurogamer.

"Leon is a man who says very little about the things that truly matter, but he would sacrifice himself without a second thought to save a life right in front of him. So what does his ring signify? Resolve? Or a vow?

"He may never voice the answer himself, but for now, after finishing a long battle, he has a 'place to go home to."
 
I definitely think we’ll see this in the DLC. As much as I enjoyed the game, the title menu post first completion felt barren. No modes, mini games, etc. I feel like something was either cut or at the very least needed more polish and isn’t far off.

Oh and it’s Ada ofc, it has to be… it better be lol.
 
If it's not Ada, it'll be the biggest troll Capcom has ever done. It's been implied in other forms of media (I think Damnation if i remember correctly) that Ada and Leon have met up off screen and spent time together and honestly, there's no other person who it could be that wouldn't feel wrong. I'm not really one for shipping characters and it makes no difference to me if certain characters end up together or not (except for Chris and Jill, I'm not sure why Capcom is so hesitant to make them an actual couple) but Ada makes the most sense for Leon.

That said, I do think we'll get the answer in the upcoming DLC anyway.

This may just be a theory of mine, but I think Ada was referencing their meet up in the events of Resident Evil 4 where she took the Las Plagas Virus from Leon at gunpoint and left him behind, plus showing up working for Wesker. That's why Leon was "angry with her" as she puts it. I don't think it has anything to do with anything off-screen.
 
You're probably right but I hate the idea personally. Someone that you can't trust and has done those kinds of awful things is not marriage material even in the cartoon logic world of Resi.

Too late to retcon RE4 though where she took the sample that caused most of the deaths in RE5, or was that rewritten to be something do to with Krauser's remains lmao

Nowhere does it say she cut ties with him. Her 4 report indicates the intention to continue working with him in order to achieve her personal goal and in 5 it's mentioned she is the one who gave him Spencer's location through Irving and Patrick.

I mean, if you’re explicitly looking for the statement "She cut ties with Wesker", it’s not there, but that’s what the file is saying more or less.
