General Is the OG lore and the remakes both canonical?

Seems mighty odd to me, since some characters never even met. I know TDC shooter is like this, with everyone being together, but I assume parts of both Leon A and B in RE2 (1998) are canon. Because Leon's second scenario is supposed to be canon. But Claire met Kendo in Claire A. So if Leon was on the other side of the burning vehicles, how could he or she BOTH run into Kendo?

It sucks that Barry never rescued Jill in the RE3 remake. That really does sting. I always believed him saving her was like his grand apology for being forced to help Wesker for a bit. And it was always supposed to be the canon outcome.

I kind of wish they'd start making some sense with the timeline. Raccoon City was rendered a big hole in RE3 and wiped off the map (according to the news reporter). But now they can act as if some things was 'missed' out for some reason. 🤣

Oh, and Spencer being nice is another bizarre twist. At least IMO. He wanted to become a god, and RE9 makes it seem like he regrets founding Umbrella in the first place. Not to mention Chris looks different, while they somehow manage to keep the golden boy Leon looking just right. 🤔

Again... it's just not really adding up at all. 😐

Something feels off with that Spencer related part of the story and I have a theory it's because we are being deliberately mislead, or at least part of the story has not been revealed yet, that when known will help it make more sense.

So I think there will be a future reveal in the story DLC that will explain more about who Grace "really" is and why she is Spencer's hope.
Perhaps she was the first test subject to be successfully cured by Elpis, and not just some random orphan that Spencer adopted to ease his guilt (It might even be that she was a cured clone).

Yeah, they need to not bite off more than they can chew. Capcom has for years now, tried to shove storylines down our throats, then they have the balls to act like everything in RE8 was why Spencer made Umbrella. But I suppose his aim had to have come from some concept.

Seems as if these remakes have become replacement canon. I grew tired of things being introduced that they never followed up on, but this is particularly sad to see unfolding.

I think Capcom does too much carrot dangling. They'll probably lead people to think Leon married Ada, as he wears a ring. Some fanboys are so weird, they'd be inclined to think she's his one true love.

While Leon did have feelings for Ada, she hasn't been seen since RE6. I think the woman he married was likely Angela, from one of those animated movies.

Even the director of the original RE3 finds Raccoon City not being destroyed to be a strange idea.

I gathered that's what they did.

Seems sad, though. This means Barry never saved Jill, seeing as how RE3 (2020) only has a single ending. Things like that feel important.

No-one wants to see the Burtman in action more than me, but RE3 is the worst of the remakes, despite doing some things well and being a fun game. That's why I'm glad Veronica is being handled by the team that did the RE2&4 remakes.
