RE5 If Capcom Does Remake Resident Evil 5....

If Capcom were to do a Resident Evil 5 Remake, I hope it shows Warrior Chris still in shape like he's overdosed on creatine. I know it sounds weird to some people, but I enjoy seeing strong power guys with mass muscle testing their manliness with melee attacks like Chris did against those Majinis.

I also would like to no longer see Sheva, because I always found her to be a burden on Chris, when Chris could of handled Wesker and Majinis and even boulders by himself without help.

If this could-be Resident Evil 5 Remake shows the last of Wesker like in the original, then Capcom should make it definite by having a major bomb (not just 2 rocket launcher rockets launched by Chris and Sheva) make the volcano erupt, guaranteeing Wesker's death instead of leaving any possible openings for, let's say, any future Resident Evil sequels.

I wouldn't mind seeing the return of all the Majinis and monsters, but a scarier version of them; not just an African version of Resident Evil 4's Ganados. And yes, I like them to have yard tools; machetes, sickles, knives, sledge hammers, a giant ax like Executioner has.

I would lastly like to see Roger Craig Smith return to voice Chris.

If enough of my previous games on PS1-PS4 becomes available on the PS5, then maybe I'll consider getting the digital version as an upgrade to my PS4, which is where I might end up leaving my games. I have a lot of games and downloads invested with my PS4, that it wouldn't be an economical system upgrade.

If they are to do an RE:5 I'd only prefer it to happen if they were to remake the other main Wesker entries prior. Ironically those are all of the games missing from the remake cycle at the moment. While the remakes jumped around and we made do, RE:5 really only works with its predecessors build up.

I've said it plenty of times but they just need to eject forced co-op, give it the RE4 inventory system, and make the environments more interesting. The sunny daylight missions are so boring, as are the forced vehicle and turret parts, as is a lot of it before you reach the dumb stupid bat encounter. After that the underground stuff and the lab is better but not great. It needs an overhaul. All that being said Yama is right and Chris and Wesker haven't even been in the newest games. Capcom seems averse to lore at this stage and RE2-3 remakes were gutted of the original diaries/notes or really any refence to RE1.

Make at least 50% of it the Spencer Estate raid way fleshed out. Wouldn't be hard, there's plenty of cut scenes from Lost in Nightmares alone to build on. Instead of fighting a dozen boil backed anchor boys they could reintroduce what was planned for BIO3.5 and have Al cook up an Uroboros prototype with Spencer's corpse, maybe some Zombie stand ins with his bodyguards.

Also include a Wesker Separate Ways/Dark Legacy like campaign and completely axe the volcano, the on rails vehicles, and the mines.

None of which they will do.

Don't forget what happened at the end of Separate Ways in RE4R, they made a lot more effort to set up Wesker's character in preparation for the events of RE5. The final scene is even playing "Excella and Wesker" from the RE5 sound track.

I think this almost confirms RE5 will get a remake, but if Dusk Golem is to be believed RE0 is the next remake followed by Code Veronica.

Yeah it's interesting they made his involvement more overt, despite the obvious difficulties of even doing RE5 at all in the current era. But newer fans would probably just think he's Ada's boss or whatever, there's no past rivalry. They could have leaned into his involvement with the RPD and Jill but instead the mansion is barely mentioned.

Yeah I never quite thought of it that way, from the perspective of someone who has only played the RE Engine era games. Who knows they might remake the original remake, and there is already rumours about Code Veronica, both of which would give Wesker more context for the newer fans. Perhaps RE5 will be an end of sorts to this era of remakes.

I doubt that. I believe RE6 would be the last of the RE Engine remakes, because Resident Evil 7 was the first of the numbered games to be developed by RE Engine.
You could be right, but I think RE6 would be the most difficult to remake and RE5 was an ending of sorts, Wesker died and Spencer died.

Definitely the one game where they can stray just about as much as they'd like, definitely a full on re-imagining more so than a remake. In that regard it could be exciting, I just hope they don't think it needs to be too faithful. I still stand on it where I was back then, solid video game but not a great Biohazard.
