RE9 Creators' Message

So much to unpack. The lighting in this game is some of the best I've seen to date. The reflections through Grace's hair during the interior scenes, the reflections in the rain in the exteriors. Jaw dropping evolution of the engine.

They look like they gave it a lot of thought so seeing Leon getting benched anyways for being too badass is hilarious but understandable.

It’ll be interesting to see in the future how they keep horror in the forefront if they ever go back to their G.I. Janes/Rambos.

I'll say this though, the same director at SGF came on screen and told us no announcement and to anticipate more Biohazard in the future, only to announce a new Biohazard later in the show. :ROFLMAO: Take that as you will. ;)

I will say however, this finally closes the case on him being the main protagonist. He was almost surely in the scrapped version, we'll see what transferred over if anything at all.

The gameplay looks excellent and I cant wait to see more... I still feel like Leon is a red herring and my bet is he'll be in the game like Chris was in Village.

Do we have any confirmations on the engine being used? We know its RE engine but it isnt the rumored REX is it?

It sounds like it's the RE engine with further enhancements, just like each iteration, perhaps more for this one especially in the lighting systems. I don't think we've seen REX yet, perhaps the next remake.

Looks like Grace will get a gun fairly early in the game, she seems to be still at the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center here. Also loving the mansion entrance hall vibes:

Curious as to how she got her hands on a Makarov pistol? My guess is that she found it from a dead UBCS operative who has been entombed in the city ruins since 1998.

Russia stopped issuing Makarovs to it's paramilitary forces in 2003.

Absolutely agree about the staircase, it's 😍!

Ahh yes, forgot about those, they look so much alike.

Capcom will probably just call it a Wernicke-Korsakoff pistol (Wernkoff for short) and call it good. xD
