If you grabbed that from the front page the article published date showed up in the title making it look like the show date, sorry about that!
Excited for next week. I’d imagine we’ll see the closed door demo played through some, which is fine. I’d love to see something beyond that, but it’ll probably be saved for a bigger show.

Would be nice to see the graphics though, as every new entry they seem to really beef up the system requirements and visuals.
I heard from unconfirmed but semi reliable source (not Dump Golem) that they are using a new engine for this game, hence why it is taking so long. Nothing to do with "open world", they just needed an extra year to master the new engine.
Really looking forward to getting a glimpse of what the game is capable of visually if nothing else from this showcase.

Oh boy, Dino Crisis fans would nerdgasm at the potential prospects of that one!
Capcom is on fire! Between Pragmata and Re9uiem (both look amazing to me) and other projects that might interest others more they appear to be solidly on the upward trend.
We didn't see much here of Re9uiem, but I'm glad they put to rest the theory of Leon being in the game (he's not) so people can hopefully now remove illusions from their brains and start thinking and speculating a little better on an independent basis and not allow themselves to be carried away by charlatans abusing their platform for personal gains.
Probably too much to ask right off the bat, but I'm glad they are clearing things up.
Onward to Gamescom!

I must admit my first thought was that it was worded very carefully and there still could be some sort of Leon reveal coming. I don't know, but it will be fun finding out.
Dusk Golem is doubling down that Leon is still going to be in the game:
"Now before I start talking about Grace, as there's a lot to say, I'll address the elephant in the room people want me to talk about. First, I'm 100% sure Leon is the protagonist still. Nakanishi talks about how they've always thought about making Leon the protagonist, but he isn't a good fit for horror. However, he doesn't actually say Leon isn't in the game, just that he's a bad match for horror. However, RE9 is not sold as a pure horror game. They sold it as a game with "aspects of psychological horror with pulse-pounding action" ... They're baiting you guys 100%. But I digress. Onto Grace Ashcroft!"
Yeah, like I said in another thread already, this is the same director who baited us at SGF into there being no announcement... only to announce it at the end of the same show lol. I'd argue this makes it even more obvious as he had no reason to say anything about it at all, especially in a pre-recorded video. Fun talking point, create some inner circle debate to keep discussions flowing. The only doubt I'd have was if he was left in the scrapped version which is possible of course. We can bookmark these predictions and laugh amongst ourselves later. PS any opinions I have are my own, never have put much stock into DuskGolem. If some have info good for them, they should enjoy it and not risk peoples jobs for clout, but that's just my take.
