Well I was here day 1 as I came with Yama from the GS forums where we all met. I helped with a few encyclopedia entries, it was fun getting this place up and running. Over the years I stopped doing forums as much and stopped posting but it’s the 30th, it’s time for some nostalgia. Coming soon I plan to do a big series replay in prep for the 30th anniversary, all ending with RE9, that means it will have to start later this year. It will be slow, as I’ll be playing other stuff as well but it should be a fun leisurely look back at every RE game to come out, ill set up a thread and hope others join in.

I’ve been a fan since day one, I’ve told my RE1 story many times, it’s archived somewhere I’m sure lol. I’ll tell it again when we hit the date, wild it’s been 30 years.

I'll be doing the same! Please do make that thread when the time comes, it'll be fun to share our thoughts, screens, clips, etc. This truly is the shot of nostalgia we need, there's nothing like a new mainline Biohazard releasing... especially when we know it's revolving around central themes dear to us again.

Greetings everyone! newbie here hoping for a free copy of BIOHAZARD REQUIEM! My connection with Resident Evil started around the late 2000s with my first-watch of the very first of Paul WS Anderson's movies, my first game was Outbreak File #1 which I only bought because of my previous experience with the movies (and also because they share the same logo), speeding up to 2011-12, I then started to roaming around many fan sites as a ghost, I guess that's when I really started to dive into the lore aspect of the franchise.

As of today, I'm still following the series and I'm very excited for the next installment which is kind of a direct sequel to my very first game, better late than ever for our pseudo Outbreak File #3 😂.

That’s not the normal intro to the series, super interesting and glad to have you all the same.

It’s funny, my first impression of Outbreak was to scoff at it due to the logo haha (in the USA). Then I saw more and was surprised by what it actually was and the rest is history, fell in love.

Hi, I am Resident Evil fan from Armenia. I played Resident Evil original trilogy first when I was kid in a playstation-computer club. I had jumpscare when dogs jump from window. I didn't finished them, because games was hard for me. Years passed and my parents bought PC for me and RE4. I loved game very much. It's still my favorite RE game. After it i bought every resident evil game on Steam. I liked RE5 too, one of best co-op games. RE6 was good for me too, but not much as RE5.

I bought original trilogy on GOG, played but not finished again, I can maybe if tryhard but still hard for me. But I finished remakes. I liked them, specially RE2.

First when RE7 announced i didn't liked it, but after playing i understand that it is like another RE games but from first person. Village was much better.

I didn't yet played RE4 remake, because I working hard now to upgrade my pc(I stiil can play on my old pc, but on low settings which I dont want.)

Thanks, I am happy to be a part of this community.

i'm user Mark5 from Brazil, i've been around here for quite some time (my old time forum id was billyk). I was always a fan of Resi games, i´d estimate it all began when i was just a teenager around late may/ early june of 1996 when i played the original game.
I´m glad the Resident Evil game series kept going to this day and still garnering loads of fans, i´d say that is no mean feat!
And congrats to all Biohaze members + community!

I have loved Resident Evil since the beginning... It was a refreshing look into what we'd get in the future of video games. Horror games was few and Resident Evil was our haven for horror. I'd love to get Resident Evil Requiem for PlayStation 5.

Fan since playing RE2 as a kid back in 98'. I've played RE1R so much (probably my favorite) it's basically a cozy and chill activity at this point for me to speed run it 😁 The series' signature flavor of survival horror has kept me intrigued throughout the years, and I'm interested to see how they handle the return to Raccoon City!

By the way, I'm not sure if the giveaway copies are physical, but are winners able to request digital instead? (For example, PS5 owners with no disc drive.)

Oh, I understand you - RE1R is also a “comfortable speedrun” for me: I turned it on and went with muscle memory 😄 And since '98, my soul has been drawn to Raccoon City: the eerie atmosphere, inventory tetris, eternal ammunition conservation - classic survival horror.

Been a fan of Resident Evil Series since i was a kid. Started with RE 1 all the way upto RE4 Remake. RE series had a bit of hiccups from RE5 but later the series got back to it's horror roots and that's what i love about the series. My passion for the series is back again and will love to try the next game in the series! Good luck everyone.

Nice to have you, don't be a stranger! We've still got a few fellow '96'ers here. : )

Now that the entry period is over, when is the livestream drawing going to happen and/or winners announced? 🥳🥳

Something else I was curious about: Will the copies (physical and digital) be pre-ordered so that they will include Grace’s bonus costume “Apocalypse”?

It was extended until 1/30 so ample amounts of people can enter. Please do share with friends and other Biohazard fans. : )

Not a fan of moving the goalposts. If you wanted to create a second giveaway that'd be your prerogative, but changing the original criteria without any warning doesn't feel fair to the initial participants.

I respect that and can agree to an extent, though with all due respect it's 100% funded by myself without donation or cost to the user simply out of my heart for the community, so please don't take it the wrong way.

I realize that and do appreciate your generosity. I'm just a big 'let your yes mean yes' kind of guy.

Likewise, which is why I pondered it long and hard, but ultimately felt not enough eyes got to see this which felt a bit unfair. I'm going to push it a bit more this month for the holidays, but rest assured, the giveaway funds are secured and I'm excited to make some fellow fans happy! Thanks for understanding, appreciate your contributions.
