Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition is a re-release of the fifth numbered game in the series. It has been officially announced in Japan during last Tokyo Game Show on September 24th, 2009. The PS3 version supports motion controls and plays much like RE4: Wii Edition. One of the additions to this version is a new scenario titled "Lost In Nightmares", which lets players experience the events during the infiltration of Spencer's hideout in Europe as Chris and Jill.

The release date for this title is Spring 2010, and the North American and European versions will likely be available as DLC (downloadable content) for those who already own the original Resident Evil 5 for PS3 and Xbox 360.
