So many wrestlers don't like their positions, and even though they work hard to get recognition, they stay stuck. Wade Barrett particularly wasn't happy, nor was Cody Rhodes. I'm aware that they were demoted to mid-card status. So them leaving made sense, because they didn't see anything improving. Sometimes, WWE can make or break a career, and they knew when it was time to get out.

The fans really make the show, and hold the power to change how story lines go for wrestlers. Despite all the fuss about it being PG now, WWE has been very consistent with making fans feel like the Attitude Era is a thing of the past. A lot of that stuff probably wouldn't fly very well these days.

2002 was a great year due to all who arrived. However, some years the stories were so stupid. Does anybody recall Big Dick Johnson or Kane and Katie Vick? Uh...
