The 80's was some decade for movies, but also for pop music. Who are some of your favorite artists?

I like quite few songs from the 80's, but I can't list them off the top of my head easily though. Have been listening to Men Without Hats and the Eurythmics lately however.

The classic rock stations are usually full of great 80's music. I like all of that and some of the metal from the same era too. Put me in the pro-80's column!

You forgot to mention the perm, shoulder-pads and lots of colors

I'd pick Michael Jackson. I know he was mainstream at this time but you gotta admit his music was possibly the most defining of this era.

I know most people love Thriller but I prefer Bad

The 60's, 70's and 80's are the very best decades for top tunes. I mean, the 90's was okay, but there was so many awful boy bands, and cheesy rubbish. The last few decades have sucked horse balls for music. I've never really ever been a fan of manufactured stuff, or what people see in Pop Idol. Etc. It's a load of crap.

Dokken - are they a metal band? They're like cheesy hard rock, but I think they are also into heavy metal.

I'm not too familiar with this band in particular, I just like that one song. But yeah, I think so.

This is Dan Hartman, also from The Edgar Winter Group. Take That covered "Relight My Fire" by him.
