Well, I obviously didn't literally mean we were wrong for liking those games  My favorite games of all time are on the Genesis and PS1 mainly, with few being from the last gen spread across all 3 (well, just one on the Xbox). I haven't played anything this gen that left similar impressions, but that's a whole other discussion (been brought up here before). It irks me to no end when some people refer to classics as being "unplayable"; stuff like MGS, RE1 or even the Sonic games.

Also, I'm not hung up on visuals at all, but that's the main aspect that gets compared, be it among multiplatform or exclusive games. Been like that since Genesis/SNES days, and I've been picky since then, even though I stopped caring 8 years ago. Aside from a handful of truly bad ports, I do think it's gotten ridiculous that you'd need 500X zooms and an analyzer to figure out what's better. Lots of other little nagging angles including input lag, which existed even when sprite-based games were running at 60Hz. Anyway...

I'm 30 and I was primarily a fan of arcade games, particularly fighters so I'm from a generation where we had to deal with poor console ports regardless of the system.

Lastly, "more love" didn't necessarily anything relating to business relations, just a preference to working on the 360. Even EA's DICE, who lead on the PS3, prefer the 360. R* did try giving Sony a timed exclusivity deal with GTAIV after all (and Kutaragi's late response sabotaged it)

Horse Collection? I never did buy any horses, how does the Horse collection work? And how do you know which ones you have and don't have?

Been playing an RPG known as Enchanted Arms.

It's kinda repetitive gameplay wise, but the characters, golems, and story more then make up for it. I keep wanting to know what will happen next. It's got alot of good lessons in the story to.

lol I saw and wanted to give you a pat on the back. It may not be groundbreaking but its a cool game. I'm glad to see someone other then me and Yama give it a chance.

yeah! :D

I'm not sure why people say the voice acting is so bad. Makoto (who is major LOL btw), Raigar, Karin, Toya, and the Queen of Ice all have great VA. Atsuma is *okay*, really the only VA who I think is really bad is Yuki.

I just met the "sage". She's my favorite character yet, the booming voice is funny. XD

Won't be necessary  I've been playing old games like I do every summer and it reminded me how much more fun I used to have.

You can buy the deeds at general stores for them, and I think there is a trophy for breaking (as in calling in the game) 3 of the fastest horses. Needless to say, there are a lot of slow horses.

Alot of the later horses you can only find out in the wild. So you have to find them, rope em and ride em. Infact you`ll have to do this in order to complete one of the side quests with the Chinese guy.

I just used the horse Bonnie gave me for the whole game. I forgot to check the general stores all that often.

Anyways, I just started Onimusha: Warlords. I love the artwork and backgrounds. The background art is kinda inbetween RE3 and Remake's quality, but it still looks very good. The story is very weird however. The gameplay is enjoyable but I think it's a little bit to linear sometimes, maybe I was expecting this to be a bit more like RE (mansion like areas with backtracking, puzzles etc) except with swords, or maybe I'm just not far enough into it yet. At the moment I'm in this puzzle room with a ninja chick called Kaede.

It's interesting to note that Jun Takeuchi is the director of this game.

And Mikami was an adviser. It's a good game with a great soundtrack, but the sequels are better. The 2nd one uses pre-rendered backgrounds too but they look a LOT better with good animations so they're not static. It also has no noticeable pauses when moving from one background to another.

I like the 2nd one best because of RPG-type elements, but the third is typically agreed upon as the best playing. It's also 3D and arguably the best looking in the series.

The stallion? I'm surprised that horse never died by something or glitched out like mine did. I just left it alone to do a mission then never saw it again, I know it couldn't of died cause I was in an area where no strong animals spawn and it was too far away to get shot...

You can still call the same horse if it dies... and mine died a lot thanks to numerous cougar, bear and snake attacks.

Just whistle about 5 minutes after its death and it'll show up.
