Activision have confirmed a first person shooter.

Oh well, we had a good run!

Are you kidding me? Well, at least Telltale still has their game. I can't believe they were put this in the hands of the makers of COD. I guess it could be worse though, they could have put in the hands of Slant Six.

I think it's good that they've put it in the hands of Call Of Duty's developer, if they're using the same engine then it could be a great game - after all COD's most redeaming future these days is the zombie mode.

I just think the series deserves better. The comic books have been superbly represented by Telltale's game, it could've stopped there. Though with this being the TV show's accompanying game both camps are represented!

I've not read the comics myself, but the tv show as of the last half of the second season seems to be becoming more action oriented than previous shows. So I can see where you are coming from. I'm guessing the comic is more of a stealth and survival situation.

It's incredibly character-driven, so much that times you can forget they're living in a zombie apocalypse.

Am not a comic book person myself mate but I'd thoroughly recommend them.

I've been meaning to do it, maybe I can find some spare cash to at least get the first book to get started on it. Those books you took a picture of in the other thread, are they a compilation of the smaller books???

Spare cash? Have a look down the back of the couch - you must have a spare $3k down the back of it Richy Rich!

And yeah, they collect 12 issues in them each. There's also the other books in Yama's picture that have six...or there's Compendium One which has 48, with
Compendium Two just this week dated for October.

LoL, names Rick but I'm not rich lol. Back to the everyday grind for me. I'm in the process of setting up my own flooring/construction business with my buddy so money is sort of tight right now having to put money into various things concerning starting that. When I go out tonight I'll see if I can grab the compendium, try to keep the stack small if you know what I mean.

Having actually read the tidbits, it doesn't sound so bad. Plus it's canon to the TV show, so whatever.

Quote:
The game will tell the story of Daryl Dixon and his brother Merle on who are on a “haunting, unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposed safety of Atlanta.”

Players will control Daryl while avoiding zombies that hunt using sight, sound and smell. You can choose to fight them or avoid them.

“No place is truly safe for Daryl as he makes his way through the Georgia countryside in this new, post-apocalyptic world,” said Activision.

Supplies will be scarce and players will need to manage resources. Many other characters from the series will be encountered as well. They can even choose to follow Daryl if the player desires.

The Walking Dead will hit stores in 2013 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

I still wish we could see it made by a developer like Quantic, though TellTale is doing that sort of thing rather well. This could be fun.
