It's not a view we haven't seen, it's just a completely different view.

My point is that it essentially isn't Raccoon City. It's no different from a fan-mod of Counter Strike or some shit.

Actually there is on ething I just love about hunters in this game. The way how they roar/sound. It's scary as hell.

I'm the opposite. They sound NOTHING like Hunters are supposed to sound. When I first heard their scream, I thought a Tyrant was nearby or something. Then I realized it was just Hunters and was like WTF? That's not how Hunters sound.

The game is not canon, so I've long sinced stopped caring about stuff like that. Yeah, it bugs me but I've long since made peace with it for the most part and stopped worrying about it. They totally butchered everything about RE in the game, yes. But, I moved on.

I'm around halfway through the campaign, and this game just reeks of "Resident Evil: The Movie: The Game."

I'm really enjoying it thus far. Multiplayer is a blast. The story I don't really care about, but the joy of running around Raccoon City and blasting zombies will never get old.

Also, I have a code for the Gamestop pre-order weapons pack if anyone wants it. PM me if interested.

Never took much interest in the campaign, so not dissapointed in that department. (even the AI. I mean, who doesn't play online nowadays?) 4/10

Multiplayer is mindless fun. Expected, so defenitely satisfied.
Its main flaws feel like they can, & will be patched soon.
-Game crashed TWICE on me already.
-Two other times, i respawned & the camera stood static & i was controlling my character & it didn't follow her at all.
-Matchmaking... 60% the game puts you in a match at all. Have to sign out & re sign in to ACTUALLY cancel the search. -_-" However, once in a match, you transition into another match fairly well.
i'll give it a 7/10 for now... as heroes is a blast with friend & mic's. after these ridiculous hiccups are patched- i'd give the multiplayer an 8.

Were those different than the ones from the SE? I got the code inside, but the guy said there was one on my reciept, as usual I didn't bother to look before I left and noticed there was no code.

I nearly had the same problem. I too got the SE and there are two codes, one inside and another on the receipt. The retailer actually double checked before I left but apparently some codes don't get printed and have to be reprinted for it show show on the receipt for some reason. Maybe you should head back to be sure you get your code.

It's Raccoon City. Just fitted for a different type of experience. You can't fit RE2, RE3 and Outbreak layouts in a game of this caliber without major changes. And if they reused a lot of stuff there would just be complaints of them being lazy regardless.

Redesigns will happen whether they are meant to be placed in the canon or not. If a new product references something in the past expect some change. The Resident Evil remake is viewed by many to trump over the original RE1 even though RE2-CV followed off that hit. Still the remake redesigned the mansion with some similarities, but recreated to have new areas to explore. The game was a remake so most people didn't have a fuss. ORC isn't even a survival horror game so it should be expected that levels were re-done to cater to its game format.

^Well you can open up areas and expand on them while still playing tribute to the origiinal design. Birkin's Lab however really doesn't seem like anything familiar from RE2. The layout is just completely off the wall and doesn't resemble it at all.

Same with a lot of the levels. They have one or two sections from the game but otherwise are unrecognizable. Remake took the original mansion and kept every ounce of it intact while expanding on it. That's why most people didn't have a problem with it. Because everything from the original mansion was there. They simply gave us 'more' on top of it.

ORC's Raccoon City doesn't include all of the original layout of Raccoon City with expanded areas. It includes a corridor here and a sign there and that's about it.
