Out of curiosity which characters did you play in each round? And your team name once more?

Our team name for this tourney was Samurai Edge! The only team who had a RE related name haha. The winning team, for a while, kept their old name: Jill Sandwich but later changed it to Kings of Courage for whatever reason.

This time I played the surveillance class throughout (Specter and Party Girl), just trying to give more support than anything with the extra mini-map info. The extra mini-map info is actually a passive ability which meant I can also choose another ability on top of that. I ended up choosing thermal vision which was kind of useful, though I hardly used it. For guns I also mainly used the LMG. It's got a hefty amount of ammo, good fire rate, and decent accuracy, and packs a good punch. The extra ammo helps to put down a few zombies while having enough for enemy players too, IMO. Not good for long distance though.

I heard there was a team called the Bluefields. How fucking amateur is that? Hahaha.

They should've released a demo instead of all these events.

Agreed. A demo could still be planned though. Some developers released a demo well after the release of their game. Who knows.

I would hope there's a demo as well, for all those who have yet to play it. And I too would prefer to not leave the house to play a game lol so I would be in favor of a demo vs an event. However the events are nice because you get free shwag and the chance to win cool stuff, for the most part.

If any game needed a demo this year, its OPRC.
This game takes a huge step away from what we expect from RE... again.
Which is fine & all since its a spin off, but if you really think about it, there
are hardly any shooters that use OPRC's mechanics: becoming infected,
dealing with AI enemies AND an opposing team at the same time...

Back on topic a little bit more, i saw a few video's on youtube and the levels
seem pretty big... does respawning far & running to the action hurt the gameplay?

I agree that this game could certainly use a demo. It seems the more attention it gets the more undecided gamers there are. At least a demo would help make their decision, regardless if they get it or not.

Yes, the stages seem very big. Not just in width but also having second levels/floors to run around in as well. I found that every time I respawned I certainly had to make a run just to get back to where my team was or where the main action is. On one hand it stresses the importance of sticking together. Respawning alone puts you at risk to be outnumbered by the opposing team while weakening the whole. On the other hand, respawning gives you the option to take a different route and maybe try for a flank depending on the game type. I wouldn't say it hurt the gameplay but given the size of the map, you certainly will have to work to regroup. That doesn't mean to say you'll just be running in empty areas - zombies, lickers, and other enemies are always around.

Oh yikes, so they were really the losers in this prize winning!

Thanks for the summary of events, though! Sounds like the game will be really fun. I'm really excited for ORC's release!

Do you know if there can be doubles of characters or does it lock them out as they are chosen.

Every time I've played you're not able to double on any character types. Characters already chosen by another teammate can't be selected by you, unless they change their mind. So only one person could be Bertha for example. That means you couldn't make a team of four medics or mix and match and each team member must be a different character. If you have a preference when you play I'd say you'd better pick them quick before anyone else does :)
