This series needs a few major character deaths.

Seriously.

Dibs on calling the plot twist where Chris dies due to infection and Jill just finds out she was pregnant with their baby.

That'd be cool except for Chris dieing. I'm betting that Chris will need to find the new guy for the cure. But how will he get it? I don't imagine Chris carrying around a crapload of money with him and I'm guessing $5 isn't what the mystery man is charging for his blood lol. Wow. This is insane. Capcom's been trying to kill Leon for a while, but now they're deciding to go for Chris. Why Capcom!?

And then, 9 months later, she has the baby and it's born wearing sunglasses...

DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN!



This way, the death would be major enough to strike the hearts of not just true RE fans, but the nooblets who only played 5. Also, they have another stupid reason to bring Jill and Claire back into the fray. And so the stupid plot devices continue!

Oh alright. That makes sense. I'd be happy about Claire coming back, but I'll never hear the end of it from my friends. They're all Leon fanboys. They'd be rubbing my face in Chris's death forever.

Agreed, thought the same exact thing. I'm in for some major character alteration or even death at this point, too much of the same.

I don't entirely mind the infection thing because it'd be less realistic to believe that all of these guys and gals have been through so many biohazard threats and never got infected by anything at any point. So I can tolerate that.

I just hope they don't decide to make my favorite character the martyr for the series and have him be the first one to actually die of infection all for the sake of 'change'.

If this is truly Chris's final run, then let it be a heroic sacrifice since Wesker met his end in a rather unsatisfying manner. But this kind of sounds very similar for Snake in Metal Gear Solid 4 and for Batman in Arkham City. If Chris does die, let there be a funeral scene and we see a lot of familiar faces in attendance in mourning.

Chris infected? Would be cool if you end up fighting a mutated Chris as "Alex Wesker."

Chris has had far too many appearances in the series. They are DEFINITELY building him up for something. It would suck if he dies, but it would show no main RE characters are safe anymore.

To be fair, Chris has been featured in 6 games and Jill in 5. They're the series stars (no pun intended) since the beginning. Its only fitting they get the most roles and biggest presence. I don't see the creators paying tribute to the original series leads and keeping them relevant as a 'build up' to their deaths.
