Judging by the reaction of many - i'd beg to differ.

I think outbreak could be an interesting way to generate buzz for Operation Raccoon City. It wouldnt take away from ORC because shooters like that will always have their own audience. The games don't even really need that much of an overhaul visually. The only thing that would need to change would be the netcode i'm assuming ?

The fans haven't been too bad. I don't think anyone's sent death threats yet. I saw that go down between the newer Silent hill developing team and "fans" of the series.

Hello everybody. Thank you for all of your encouraging comments.

The Support Outbreak Campaign is still going strong. Our members continue to voice our support for the Outbreak series on the Capcom forums. http://www.capcom-unity.com/resident_ev ... _order=ASC

As I have mentioned, in the "Ask Capcom" section of the Capcom-Unity forums, a head Capcom administrator listed the Resident Evil Outbreak series as one of the most popular fan requested series. http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capcom/ ... #494442833

We are making progress, my friends. Keep the hope alive!

Did my post get deleted - or did i just not post it? haha

Anyway - the word of a "head Capcom administrator" cannot be considered "progress". This person is merely a forum moderator, that's all. They're only there to do Capcom's job of keeping their forums clean for them.

There are thousands of people who are excited about our campaign. Fans of Resident Evil Outbreak are passionate about wanting the series revived. Not only do fans love the game, but game rating websites overwhelmingly gave Resident Evil Outbreak positive reviews. IGN called Resident Evil Outbreak the "Best Action Game", Gamers.com called it the "Best PS2 Game" and Gamepro awarded it an Editors Choice Award.

I can only assume they meant "Best Action Game" or "Best PS2 Game" that week?

Fact is - decent ratings don't put extra zeros in Capcom's bank accounts.

He claims that thousands of people are excited for an outbreak revival yet there are only 740 signatures on the capcom unity petition. Sounds like bulls*** to me.
