Storm being OP? Wasn't expecting that. :rcg:

Also, I hate Justin Wong's playstyle, in any game.

It's Hailstorm bro, it's supposed to do mad damage and chip.
edit: watched video, hailstorm doing 50% to Chun coming in to assist is fair.
IMO your assists should get raped if you call them at the wrong time

and damage in general needs to be high in this game, because if you watch earlier builds, you'll see that almost every match ended in a time out

I think hailstorm damage is a bit much especailly since its so easy to combo with it now. The damn move does everything. Leave the Chun assist alone though.

The hitbox on chun's lightning legs is just fine, it just looks rediculous b/c you recover slower from hitstun in mvc3 so the legs continued to combo easily in the corner. as for storms super it's just fine as is in terms of damage and chip. the reason it was doing so much chip is because P2 failed to advance guard it. just like in TvC, if you don't advance guard you will take a crazy amount of chip dmg. on that note i wish more people would at least wait until the game drops and we have sufficient time to actually learn the characters and game mechanics before they start screaming for nerfs left and right.

Every place I read said pushblock didn't effect chip. Unless this is new?

Push blocking reduces the amout of chip you receive, i tested that myself back at the new york comic con. so unless capcom changed it, it should still be the same.

Are you positive about it/was it tested somewhat thoroughly? The general consensus on SRK seems to be that it doesn't reduce chip and that comes from a lot of players first hand accounts.

If it does reduce chip then the question becomes why? Why not just reduce chip across the board and not have it if they are worried about chip? It doesn't add anything to the game certainly.

You trust SRK?

Does the hive mind of SRK have ulterior motives?

Just trollin', but on the real...dunno if you've noticed, but in a lot of the direct feed videos, you almost see NO ONE advance guard. Hence, why I don't trust SRK's general consensus when I don't even see the effort (advance guard) being put forth. Advance guard DOES lessen chip, but you still get chipped regardless. It's almost a questionable "wtf why do it" as opposed to it "just not working". I honestly feel it's a habit the players just haven't kicked into yet, but will soon.

One of the things that made me cringe literally ALL the time, is that when J.Wong sets up Trish's sparda boomerang super after a knockdown, pretty much no one ever advance guards it and they eat heavy chip damage WHILE allowing her to close in and apply more pressure. Only person (out of all the vids) I saw AdvG was Keits and it shows that it pushes Trish back, preventing her from moving in and applying pressure. Now, I don't know if this means she can't do anything else, but I know back at NYCC when I did it to someone, they couldn't advance forward at all. It just kept her far away.
