Played the Vita version of UMvC3 today, should be getting my own copy of it within the next day or so thanks to my buddy. It's really good, pretty much a spot on identical port of the PS3 version. Controls take a little getting used to because of the style of the analog pads and all, but, overall, it's really nice.

Not something I'd see being used for truly hardcore competetion but, it's nice to be able to play the game on the go and I was able to do the majority of my combos and whatnot on it without much hassle.

General question in regards to SCV: If I were a big fan of SC1, would I be interested in it? The great netcode has me intrigued.

Outside of it's newly introduced nuances, the game feels at home for the most part. If you enjoyed either SC or SCII, I'd say give it an honest shot. The net code is generally good too, haven't had too many issues with it. Definitely the smoothest 3D fighter I've played. If you do get it, make sure to snatch a 360 copy so we can play.

By the way tomorrow night I'm headed to Winter Brawl. It's been a while since I've been in the tourney scene, but I'm going to be competing in SCV. The game is generally fresh yet and I'm not too sure of the match ups, so it can go either way at this point. Regardless I'm going to take it for a learning experience. Getting seeded for EVO would be a bonus but is not a necessity to compete (planning on going and staying with Detrimantix), so I'm going to take it as a learning experience. Win/Win really. Still excited though, better to do it than talk about it. Feels like old times... wish me luck.

Good luck with that man, hope things turn out good for you. I'm guessing this is taking place somewhere in the New York area? Never heard of it before so I dunno. I was actually thinking about trying my hand again at fighters, pick up a stick and SCV, if nothing else it'll be something to play for awhile.

Good luck, and thanks. I should really pick up the improved pad, particularly with Bio6 on the horizon. Luckily for SCV, the two versions are identical, though I really have to say the between the quieter fan and the full install option, I'm leaning towards 360 versions now.
