As one of the new generation SRK kids I'm offended by that comment!
Just kidding. Yeah some young people on SRK are crazy! I've only noticed 3 main differences between anime games and non-anime fighting games.
1. The art style. I'm observant like that.
2. Anime fighting games tend to have longer combos compared to non-anime fighting games.
3. Anime women are almost always schoolgirls, or sex appeal adults. I'm looking at you Litchi and Tsubaki. Oh, furries too, like Makoto.
EDIT: Sorry, I don't think I made much sense. I meant to say it as that I don't see why people hate anime games. I know people who do, but their reasons just confuse me.

SRK is a completely different place than it used to be. Still some good information and such mixed in, but a lot of newer members who tend to read more than they play and talk out of their ass. A lot of communities have dwindled over time though, not just SRK. Regardless, everything's relative.

As far as your points, has nothing to do with any of it really. It's just how the games are developed and play. Fan service titles can go either way honestly, blunders can turn into gems over the years with enough time put into them. Doujin Fighters as a whole have their own style, which goes hand in hand with their budget and appeal.

It's mostly the front page comments, but yeah "anime fighters" get a lot of random ignorant hate including Skullgirls which is American animation. I guess if you don't have a bunch of dudes on steriods in the game then your mechanics and engine must suck.

Sad but true.

Steroid driven Macho Guys breaking skulls in the palm of their hand carrying huge ass guns and swords with deep gruff voices are the only men who can be accepted by the majority of american males.

Anything else is 'gay'.

And ANY kind of voice that isn't 'deep gruff badass' equates to 'whiny' apparently as well. Because there are obviously only two types of voices in existance for males. Either badass or whiny. Nevermind the looks and voice tone of the player themselves most likely matching up with the latter rather than the former. Of course that player themselves is certainly not 'gay' or 'whiny' though.
