Not at all, by all means watch it and enjoy it, but don't kid yourselves that this is resident evil.

So RE trailer, where to begin. 3D will make the movie slightly more enjoyable, so that is a plus. Paul WS Anderson is back to directing, he did the first, so even though he isn't a great director it will probably be better than the two crap sequels.

That said, I hate Alice, I hate that she is in a slow mo Matrix action movie all the time. Yes I am aware Wesker is a Matrix character but he is a monster, not the heroes, plus there is no one to fight him equally cause RE isn't about kung-fu. Resident Evil has always been a creature feature, guys with guns against an army of monsters. This movie series should have brought out the best makeup people in the industry, they could have done some of the best movie monsters in decades but instead we get cheap CG, wirework and crappy guy in monster suit.

At least this movie is trying to stay current with the series, it seems to have a ton of RE5 influences. You have the majini, Executioner and Wesker versus Chris. Of course it will be all out of place and probably suck, like Claire backflipping over an executioner, look at that scene, the effect was horrible.

As long as Wesker kills a bunch of people I will be happy. There will be like an army of Alice's so I hope Wesker kills a shit ton of them. Brutally kill her over and over again. That will be the main enjoyment I get from the movie.

So because YOU say its not Resident Evil...that must mean its really not right? Take your shitty opinion and get over yourself already. Resident Evil had a laughable but enjoy plot with characters that fall into bad cliches with bad dialogue.

Also I am pretty sure that title of the movie has "Resident Evil" in it, so contrary to what you want to believe it IS "Resident Evil".

Although my thoughts about the movie...I am not sure I will enjoy it or not. It looks ok, but who knows. People seem excited about Chris v. Wesker in this movie, but can they really make that work? Just doesn't seem to have any build up since Chris has been absent from all the movies...well and technically so was Wesker...since he barely had a cameo in the last film. I don't mind Alice, while not my favorite character in a Resident Evil movie or game...I find her more plausible/likable then alot of characters. Sheva, Luis, All Antagonists of 4, entire cast of Outbreak, Survivor...were all worse then Alice from the movies.

Outbreak had a fantastic cast, what on earth was wrong with them? And Luis isn't to bad either. Much better than Alice.

I wouldnt call outbreak cast "fantastic" but they arent bad either.

From the view of 2 alices, i guess that maybe the movie is gonna pull of some cheap trick like in the Matrix Reloaded with the Smith clones, but it wont be as awesome,.
now that i think about it, i WONT be surprised if Anderson copies off parts from the Neo vs. Smith (CLONES) and turn it into Wesker vs. Alice (CLONES)
And by all means, Alice can only be tolerable to certain point. Shes just taking up too much of the spotlight, she being TOO epic, and shes saving the day more times than Superman.

I cannot wait for this movie to come out. It's going to be so Epic, now i know alot of you will prob quote me and call me a retard or something but I extremely love the Resident Evil movies. This one will be right next to my DVD collection in the near future.
