So in summary, Outbreak apologists have gone from saying "Well, Outbreak's load times are no longer than other RE games!" to merely justifying the long load times. And last time I checked, 2 or 3 NPCs do not put that much of a tax on ram. I suppose next you'll try to pass off all of the game's problems as deliberate design choices, made to make the game more "challenging".

I played the hell out of OB, 100ths of hours online (with hardrive load speeds), and a ton offline. One thing that really can't really be argued is the OB series did have horrible load times, not unplayable but horrible non the less. When playing offline the load times constantly interrupt the flow of the gameplay especially for File 2(even though it has shorter load times) because of the length of file 2 scenarios. Unless I am in the mood, playing online(which is impossible now), or playing on a emulator/60gig ps3 its hard to play certain scenarios fully while dealing with OB load times, I usually get bored mid way and turn it off to play something else. Still though that really is the only serious problem I have with the OB series. OB online play was a masterpiece imo, but it don't really matter since its been put to rest for ever.

Ok let me rephrase what i said...

The fact that all the textures are in higher definition and more realistic than most other games have to load, 2 random fully functioning AI Teamates who can do everything you can and more, Various monsters that the cpu calculates (IE: Spawn Locations, Whether or not it comes through certain doors, how the NPC deals with them...), the fact that the inventory menu is done in Real Time, ditto with the map screen, Adlibs flying off the handle... Thats what causes long load times... not to mention that everytime you enter a different room the cpu has to deconstruct the data from the previous room and construct the data of the next room plus all of what i said before... yea thats very very CPU Intensive stuff... just be glad that it runs on a decent framerate...

Why antagonize? You won't be able to talk any sense in to them. They'd keep asking for Outbreak even if Capcom came out and said "Outbreak sucks, we're done with it, go home." How is this fun for you? These guys are as easy as it gets.

And to the folks on the pro Outbreak side of this discussion, why are you even bothering to argue? For God's sake, he has "Umbrella Chronicles" listed as his favorite title. Put two and two together. You guys are exactly why the Outbreak community is looked down upon.

Ummm I've never fully played umbrella chronicles.... and I don't have it listed as my fave game.... anyway cat what I'm saying is that its a very cpu intensive game.... mainly because its full of features... that's why it has long load times (which I don't mind)...

That's a very good question, one that will probably not have a very good answer.

I say, leave the supporters be; they'll still 'support' it until the end of time. I was done with the online mode as soon as the servers went down, still a fun single player experience though.

I was a bit harsh in my wording towards the supporters. Sometimes I'm just embarrassed to be an Outbreak fan because of the collective craziness.
