You can still retrieve his blog, up to June 6, from google's cache.

And messages can be found this way:

If I recall, and I don't want to search the humongous thread. On capcom unity, we were told that it was okay to make it so the server was changed as long as they're was no editing of the game itself involved.

It could be his host took it down because it was flagged as hacking.

Or Capcom could've asked it taken down because they don't want Outbreak to compete with their other RE titles.

That's a shame. If anyone would pull a harmless mod like this off the web, it would be Capcom. I can't see a re-release being plausible in the near future, it doesn't make any sense to me that they would want to release Outbreak to negate from the sales of ORC. But, I don't know much about the industry so maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the guy hit a road block and just scrapped the whole thing?

I doubt Capcom gives a damn about a fan server of a game they don't support anymore (online-wise). The guy most likely got his account suspended because Blogger doesn't allow publishing content that has copyright.

If he's still on this project, he should make a site dedicated to it or at least talk with a friend to host it.

Quite sure two dozen or so Outbreak psychos won't be that detrimental to the series' sales

I wouldn't put it past Capcom to take down something like this. They took down HecRPD's project and there's no way that mattered to them in the slightest. They probably just have a team of jackasses that search the web for anything Resident Evil related to shut down.

Yeah but they actually didn't

That's what he claimed. But HecRPD is a serial quitter, starting projects often and never completing them. He then went on one website claiming the C&D came in the post and his Mum had hold of it, whilst on another forum he said it came through via his email address.

He then said it was over an .iso he had of Resident Evil 3 on his hard drive

So... Stu, what do you do in life apart from monitoring all RE boards on the internet 24/7?

That's the beauty of forums. You don't have to look at them constantly because the interwebs keep the new posts saved for you. I know the same things he knows, he just decided to point them out to keep everyone apprised of the situation. He takes in a lot of futbol games and ufc fights that I know of from his tweets. Aside from that I'm sure he has tea and crumpets and slags on various cunts (I love that word, means so much more than people think) during the rest of his time, lol!

So as to not be too far off topic. My opinion on the matter goes like this. Since the Japanese servers are going down that would lead me to believe that Capcom either A.) wants to make this gone for good, or B.) since they have revived re4 and cvx in hd that maybe, just maybe they plan to do this with other projects.

Haha, it's almost like I don't have to reply following that!

Yeah, funny how internet posts don't just disappear, and can be read at any time!
