Look for some sort of fanchise that cashes checks for a %, they might offer Visa credit debit cards. The post offices sometimes have cards like that too.

Will any bank debit card work? I'm with US Bank here in California. I don't know about signing up for a prepaid debit card, paranoid about getting into debt with prepaid debit card BS.
