She looks stupid and boring. Remember those cool games RE1 and RE3? This is what you're left with. Look at her flipping around, bouncing off walls and shooting machine guns really well and just remember that you could have had real-Jill.

What is with all this "real Jill" stuff? Is it the nostalgia talking? Because near as I can tell, RE5 Jill is still the real Jill. Why do a few cosmetic changes cause her not to be the real Jill? And if you are refering to her physical abilities, then why not complain about her MvC2 appearance as well? That was more out of place than anything. Jill was technically not even the most battle hardened combatant in RE, yet she could go toe to toe with Marvel characters, and unleash zombies and Tyrants?

And turn into a giant fireball for no raisen.

Nothing in the VS series makes sense.

I think "real Jill" is simply the one that can think for herself. Not under the control of Wesker or hopped up on performance enhancers. If she was in the battle suit and in her right mind, it'd still be her. The brainwashed version is called that for a reason; she's not herself. Even if she was in her BSAA outfit but moved like she does in her brainwashed battle suit, that wouldn't be much of the "real Jill," either. She is who she is when she's in her normal frame of mind.

There is still a portion in the game where Jill is not under the control of any outside forces where she wears the Battlesuit. She still has the state of mind to help her comrades. Not to mention, she dons the Battlesuit attire in Mercenaries without any kind of mind control. I believe people are getting all bent out of shape because its not the Jill that every one can easily recognize (brunette, some sort of hat, and wearing a blue military garb). Not because she is being controlled. Regardless of whether she can think for herself, what she wears, how she looks, she is still Jill. She has the scars (hair color as well as chest scar) to prove that she survived her struggle. And the fact that she did lose her free will makes her all the more interesting than most of the characters in the series.

To be entirely fair, mercenaries isn't canonical to the main game. However, I wouldn't think that it's even about how she even looks in the battle suit so much as how out of character it is, and the manner in which it all came about. Essentially, Wesker made her his slave, his toy, his puppet (etc). He forced her into something that she isn't otherwise in her actual character. The Jill that people have grown up with, in a sense, may have more to do with it, yes. That memory is attributed to something real and familiar, while this shiny new object is more of a depiction of how someone else is maiming her to be against her will. Changes can certainly be good, but when they usurp something that wasn't at all necessary, then it just becomes absurd.

Sorry for the double post, but Zementh...I actually heard the remix tonight. It starts out sort in the orchestral theme like RE5 had, then goes into a crazy techno beat. It was an interesting combination, if anything.
