Don't mind me if you see me coming or going at odd hours adding threads here.

So feel free to discuss Eternal Darkness.

Well I got this game in 2002 or 2003 and did complete it once. While I didn't like it as much as say, RE or Silent Hill, it was quite scary / different to a lot of those RE clones that were coming out. I never did bother to complete it 3 times to see the rightful ending, so I may have to try it again one day.

I enjoyed and respected it for what it was, very unique. Enjoyed the modern areas a bit more. The sanity effects were beyond a gimmick, they were actually ingenious. Never did beat it three times for the true ending though.

I beat it twice, didn't know there was a true ending for taking all three paths. I should do that now...

It is an okay title. But very overrated by its fans.

I thought it was just uncanny at first, but almost every time I see a topic or article talking about the "greatest games of all time" Eternal Darkness is always mentioned, no matter what site. I thought it was just an average horror title.

It's a horror game that's actually scary and plays with your head, it may not be one of the best of all time but it's definitely one of the scariest horror games of all time, and games don't even scare me that often.

Nothing in Resident Evil, and dare I say even Silent Hill, comes close to the experience Eternal Darkness gives. And the final battle is epic.

Didn't really like having to play it three times to see the true ending as it was very hard in parts, so I'd probably just keep a game save of two completed games and save on a different slot on my memory card, so I don't overwrite the 3rd play through. ;)

I'm going to have to agree with you there, I'd heard from so many people how it was an amazaing horror title but when I played it it was just average and was nothing really special.

Also I hate how the Firefighter dude is using the OICW, just a pet peeve :I

I also liked the monks cos it reminds me of the monks in RE4 and in WWE SvR 2011 you can play a druid monk, who is one of the men who come out on TV with a coffin sometimes.

The game is really cool but needs to be remade, in my opinion. I just want there to be more to it/harder difficulty.
