I think the reason it is so much easier for me to line up shots with Chris and Josh is because of the height. I think Sheva being shorter is sort of a hindrance for me. I have to aim a bit higher and I'm not used to it. As odd as it sounds, I believe it to be true. I don't miss many headshots when I play as Safari/Warrior Chris or Josh. But the minute I switch to Business Sheva, I miss head shots left and right. And it takes me half a day to line up a headshot. Its not such a problem when I play as Jill since she requires you to shoot for the feet. And even then, I don't miss headshots with Jill if I use her Skorpion or Beretta.

I think it is also attributed to the fact that when I play the story, I am never Sheva since everyone and their mama wants to be her. Doesn't bother me since I prefer Chris. And as I said, even when I'm Jill in LiN and DE, setting up shots are never an issue for me. It's really only Sheva.

I have no issues switching between Sheva or Jill, only going from them to one of the male types. I think having their larger forms taking up most of that side of the screen is sort of a nuisance. Almost as if you were looking out your car window to see around an 18 wheeler lol. I'd much prefer to have an entire view of everything going on with the character as well as the environment.

I've never had a problem switching between any of the characters. Chris, Sheva, Jill, Wesker, Excella, Rebecca, Barry, Josh all play the same to me. The men have slightly bulkier frames but it doesn't affect my performance in the slightest.

I can do just as well with Sheva as I can with Chris and the same with any other char. I 'prefer' Chris in general, but, when I play versus, I switch between all of the chars, even Handgun vs machine gun chars all the time. When i play Mercs, I switch it up often as well. And when i play campaign, I often play sheva because the other person is usually on their first play through and wants Chris.

None of it makes a difference to me. The 'only' annoyance I find is Sheva's map showing up on the left side of the screen, thus covering the score indicators in Mercs and Versus. I can still read the scores, but, it can be annoying at times. Other than that, I don't notice any real difference or hinderances by playing different chars despite their differences.

I have the same problem as obZen when trying to line up precise shots with Sheva. I believe it is because I'm used to drawing the gun up and right, as opposed to up and left. This may sound ridiculous, but that is definitely the problem I have. That laser has always came out of the bottom left for me, so the inverse throws me off big time.

As far as the female characters handling smoother than the males, I concur. For example, Jill's lithe form feels far more agile to me than controlling Chris or Josh. In fact, I always play LiN and DE with Jill, since she is far more fluid (and can get to upper areas the others can't).

Well, I'm not as "mad pro" as you guys are. :)

I'll admit that I'm only strong with a select few characters in RE5, and I tend to stick to them. BS and BSAA Jill being first (thought BSAA Jill is not my first choice in Mercs). Chris types and Josh follows right after that. In versus I tend to stick to BS Jill and BSAA Chris because I seem to perform most consistentally with them. Now that I think about it, it isn't just Sheva that feels odd. Other characters handle slightly awkward to me as well. I have trouble using Barry in Reunion, but no trouble with Rebecca at all. It is sorta odd since all characters are relatively the same. Hell, I like playing as FT Sheva in Reunion, but she still feels un-natural to me. My best only comes from Warrior Chris, Josh, and Rebecca. And I don't know if its raising the gun from the left that makes a huge difference since they both aim in the exact same way if you think about.

Either way, I'll just attribute it to my lack of experience with said characters that I don't feel as comfortable with. But I think it comes down to my playstyle. The above characters (Jill, Chris, and Josh) I mentioned all feel really solid and work the best for me. To this day, no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to complete the story with Sheva. I always end up reverting to Chris.

I find it odd some people have mentioned having trouble aiming with Sheva or whatnot as it throws them off but had no problem aiming with Rebecca.

Rebecca's guns start at waist level and need to be raised 'up' from the getgo in order to even get a headshot, as opposed to Sheva who can line up a headshot near insantly with her higher aim just like Chris and most others etc.

Head shots with the machine gun to setup flame spray take slightly more to perform. So I think a lot of this is 'perceived' difficulty rather than 'actual' difficulty. Such as your brain noticing a difference you dislike and becoming biased to it rather than adapting, whereas a difference such as Rebecca's in which you hold no bias, you're able to adapt to without problem.

It's about the same, only difference is (cvx spoiler)
Spoiler:
Sheva doesn't have an emotional scene of killing her father like steve does.

That's not really the only thing Steve has over Sheva, at all.

If that's what you honestly think then you need to play CV:X again.

Steve and Sheva are on par with each other, neither is 'better' than the other. Name anything Steve has done in CVX that gives him character development and I can cite and example of Sheva doing something on the same level.

Now can we please stop this silly debate over Sheva vs Steve and Sheva in general? Yeesh.

Regardless or character development or whatever, Sheva is better than Steve because Steve is a total douche bag!

Steve = character progression that changes and evolves through the story, going from cocky punk who thinks Claire is nothing more than a hot piece of ass (typical teenage attitude) to mature, heroic, self sacrificing man who clearly loves Claire.

Sheva has the same monotoned personality throughout the entire experience. Name ONE thing that indicates Sheva 'growing' as a character. Just one.

And Ganado Zombie, get the fuck out of here with that homophobic shit. Seriously. You should get a warning for that.
