Hey guys! Somebody found this rare uncut footage where T-Rex shakingly rip Cooper's torso. That scene wasn't in the U.S. or Japanese versions, but one of the Japanese versions might have it.

Thumbs up for anything new relating to Dino Crisis. Great find.

I've played the Japanese version exclusively until the Dreamcast release, oddly enough I don't remember that. I'd have to go through all of the SKU's to see which has it, if any.

Try the PS1 JPN release and use the AR to explore the disc. I remember seeing this a while back, but that's my best guess as to where it originated.

They had a lot of space on disc that went unused those days, and even DC2 had two intro cutscenes. One without subtitles and one with.

Oh, Yama, check your PM box.

How odd. They edit that out of a 15 rated game, yet The Lost World is rated PG and Eddie Carr is seen being torn in two.

^ That was the scene that inspired this.

I remember pulling it out of the Japanese games files back in 1999 and posting it on the old EvilGaming Network. There was talk at the time that Capcom had to start really self censoring products because they were getting pressure about the content of the games produced. These pressures eventually became the CERO rating system in Japan a couple of years later.

I went to one of the official Capcom forums a while back and asked about Dino Crisis making a return, and not one member cared. If you cannot get Capcom to lighten up a little, we will never see Dino Crisis again. Well, no further entries I mean.

I was thinking about the same thing. No wonder they censored Code Veronica on PS2 or Dreamcast. They shouldn't censor their games before they released it in Japan and then other countries.

To be fair, on and off, they haven't. For example even back in 1998 they cut the "you're dead" death scenes from the Japanese version of Bio2, but left them in the US and PAL editions. And that's kinda been simular since then. The only thing ever to be in reverse was the uncut opening of the original Biohazard.

What did they remove from that game then?
