Just saw the movie. Best way to describe it, Epic Rediculousness. Seriously haven't had that much fun in a movie in a while. I LOL'd so many times. Me and my friends have formed countless jokes in just minutes of seeing it.

We enjoyed it though so that's all that matters. :D

If only Paul Anderson had that view when he was making it, but sadly he thinks he's making a geniunely good sci-fi movie that will please fans and non-fans alike.

And he did. There are plenty of fans out there who enjoy the movie's and game's alike,(definitely not on this site though) it just seems that the hater's are the more vocal group.

To be honest, I loved the last half hour of Afterlife. Once the first hour of bullshit/filler was over and they actually got to the action, it was pretty alright.

Being an avid Sheva hater, I absolutely LOVED the fact that it was Chris/Claire vs. Wesker. It was choreographed almost exactly like the games, only the scene may have been slightly longer, and it was just amazing cause of the brother/sister team-up.

Jill at the end was veryyyyy fanservice-y, but I have to admit, I was really looking forward to Wesker+Jill teaming up. I don't know if I like how Jill is fully functional and a plotting mastermind instead of the stoic she was in RE5, but I guess in order to have a competent movie villain you need to take certain liberties.

Well we can still get wesker and jill action on the fifth film since:

a) wesker is alive.
B) its very likely wesker is the on controlling jill.

Damn cant wait for the next film.

My only problem is how Jill looked at the end. It looked like she had too much make-up on the eyes, she looked a bit too old IMO.
But I will get over it.

Maybe Anderson should go easy on the slo-mo stuff because I'm going to have to start calling this "Resident Matrix." I've learned to accept that the movies can deviate from the games. I focused on the file cards when it came to the character ages. It turns out movie Chris is only 2 years older than Claire whilst their game counterparts are six years apart. Who knows in the movieverse that if Chris even knows Jill.

Ok I have held off as long as I could and I have finally have a review ready.
Spoiler:
OH boy did it suck!! I sat absolutely dumbfounded by what I saw on the screen. This movie was so disjointed and all over the place I went back a second time to see it to make sure I didn't miss anything, I didn't.

I am a pretty forgiving person when it comes to movies and I have to say this movie shattered all preconceived notions of physic's and believability. Not even an attempt was made to make what was going on in the movie even remotely believable. Do you really expect me to believe that planes can land on rooftops and that you can swing from an exploding roof with a magic cable that is impervious to heat, remains secure while the roof itself is decimated. Also the "human" Alice seemed to take as much punishment as the "genetically altered" Alice did in previous movies.

The characters were vapid and not even remotely likable, Chris was the worst with Kmart and Bennett close behind in the sweepstakes of terrible characters who should be eaten by anything that can chew. I will say I cheered for the executioner, though what was he doing in LA, did he come to visit his brother in Compton? The majini were wasted and un-needed in this movie, "Hey lets throw some RE5 characters in the movie just because!" Also are you really expecting me to believe that Battle Suit Jill is the new villain?

I will say though I liked the soundtrack which did give the film its only interesting element. The musical score definitely gave the feeling that it was game inspired. To bad it was used to help sugar coat the turd we were watching.

So I read that they want "fan" involvement in the next movie so I offer up this suggestion: Let us write the script and you come up with the money to make it. I think thats a pretty fair request don't you think.

Well steve John McClain has words for you!!! YippeekaiYAY mofo!!! I agree with the undeniable retardation of the movie, but some of those stunts have been seen before. Overall your review is spot on though.
