Yeah, complaining about Sheva's AI because you don't know how to use it and just 'expect' her to do everything you want her to do psychicly is just silly.

If you wans her to use a powerful gun, 1) Give her one, 2) set her to 'attack' and she'll use it.

Everyone would be complaining to high hell that she wasted all her shotgun ammo or whatnot if you gave her a shotgun and she auto-equipped it and went on a shooting spree with it. That's why you have 'control' of her to tell her what to do. If she wastes all her handgun ammo, she'll use her knife even if she has a shotgun because you have her on cover, so she's not going to waste ammo in a powerful gun unless you tell her to.

I don't know how you can call that 'bad' AI when she's specifically designed to cater to you, help you, and do what you tell her to do.

And there's absolutely no part of you whatsoever that might think these points are purely subjective? That people might have their own definition of what's unplayable? Their own definition of what is broken? Their own definition of hinderance?

Don't answer. It's rhetorical. We all know it's your way or the high way.

You never did lose your flair for the dramatic did you?

No one is "complaining to high hell", they're just saying it's not as good as it should be. The only thing being done to "high hell" is your over the top defence.

I think more people complain (I won't say high hell because stu will e-sassinate me) about the completely retarded actions she takes some times. That was my biggest gripe with it anyway. Other than that the rest is all opinion and everybody has one. Some people think it was great some don't. There will most likely never be the perfect game for the fans because you simply cannot please all of the people all of the time.

Is the game unbeatable due to Sheva's AI? I think not, and that is FACT. Enough said.

So as long as game is beatable, people should not complain?

Always good to move the goalposts :)

I don't think there is a such thing as AI so bad that it makes a game unplayable, for me the AI partner would basically have to stand still and not do anything for that to be so. *shrugs* All the talk just feels like people being overly-dramatic. Both the people who are against it and the ones defending it..

CoD4 would like a talk with you sir!!! The "backup" of the AI makes Sheva look god-like. Their idea of cover fire is shoot my killer after I'm dead. If it weren't for being the closest thing I have to a completed game I would not be playing it right now haha.
