Capcom Japan announced just moments ago that a 3D CG film sequel, Biohazard Damnation, will be releasing in 2012 in cooperation with Sony Pictures Entertainment. It will once again star Leon S. Kennedy and will be a 3D film distinct from the live-action Resident Evil movie series.

My god, this is interesting. Its certainly a far cry from the days of post CV release where we had to wait five years for the next true Resi sequel. It certainly was a barren period where we only had a few spin off titles to look forward to and nothing that actually moved the story forward significantly.
Now in the last 3 years we have had UC, Deg, 5, DC, 5Alt, Archives II and we've now got Damnation, Revelations and a possible RE6 in the works.

For gods sake, this new timeline is never gonna get done!!

Awesomesauce. I loved Degeneration. Just why on earth pick Leon to star again? He was the worst thing about the original, far to stoic if you could even call it that. I bet this one will be about Leon and Ada.


Screw Revelations though, if that is what we get instead of a full blown CGI film about Jill and Chris then I don't want it.

At least this means Capcom plans to continue this CGI film business, and hopefully one day we get one about Jill and Chris.
