Shadow of the Colossus (PlayStation 2, 2005)
New from:$14.99
Used from:$9.99

Regardless though, I want the collection as well. As Godly as SOTC was, it was held back immensely by the PS2 hardware. Frame rate felt like a slide show, I almost thought my system was biting the dust when I first booted it up. It would benefit from a PS3make so much, especially to see the game rendering at a higher resolution.

Maybe if you live in America where Games are cheap.

Just checked Ebay then, PAL copies of Ico, generally about $90, SotC about $70-80.

They just need to re-release this already. I'll pick up the Sly Collection too.

Yeah V is right, for example here in Italy a used copy of ICO is very hard to find and still costs about 35-40 euro or brand new at 60-70 euro (just like a current gen game).

You guys should grab an NTSC console and just import. Isn't the dollar still shitty? I think it's a win win for you unless you have a TV that only displays in 50hz.

The whole process would be still too expensive: a used NTSC PS2 costs about 60 euro + 20euro for the power adaptor, not to mention delivery costs for every game imported from the US... I'd rather prefer to wait until those games are remastered for PS3 instead of wasting that amount of money for an imported PS2.

It's not a feasible thing to do at this point in the PS2's lifespan. Most PS2 games are relatively cheap on Ebay ($15-$30), just those two plus a few other rare finds are very expensive. Plus I'd need to buy a 60HZ TV + Plus power adapter like Sun said, and I'd only be able to use it on the few game I import anyways. If I was back in 2001 now though and foresaw this I'd import everything and save all this trouble. But not at this point. Just need to hurry up with the re-releases.

$1 AUD = 86 US Cents at the moment. A current gen game brand new cost about $110 AUD, which equates to $95 USD. There's no problem with our dollar, it's something to do with import taxes and the government I heard. I import almost every game I get from the UK though which is a life saver since they are PAL too and have no problems when using DLC with games from there.

Chances are very strong the ICO+SOTC collection will be released. The demand is sky high and its in the top 5 on the playstation blog voting site.
Id just see it release more around the time that The Last Guardian is about to release. So maybe this time next year at the soonest. Unless they wise up and want to horde sales early. But I doubt that. The longer they wait the more demand builds up.

Just noticed that After Burner and MVC2 are 50% off currently on PSN. $5 is a good price I'd say for AB.

Great prices for both, whoever doesn't own them needs to hop on that I'd say.
