New footage is great however I can't say I will ever play the original again. After getting the platinum I am burnt out. It was fun, mostly but there is enough tedium to go with the fun. Going through the story isn't bad, its fantastic actually and I could see myself going through the story again but not anytime soon.

For those who didn't like Cole's new character design, there's some good news:

In the article the developers say that they're aware that some people don't like the new design and basically confirming that Cole will be changed in the future. There's also an interesting video included where Sucker Punch's Nate Fox talks more about the story, including Cole's motivation to move to a new location and where 'The Beast' fits into things (basically Cole fights 'The Beast' and gets owned by it at the start of the game).

Wait, that guy was supposed to be Cole? I thought it was a new character.

I think that is exactly why they're changing him. There was some confusion about whether this was actually Cole.

Not that I really have a problem with a new protag, but damn that guy did not resemble COle at all.

This is a nice comparison I've seen on THIA about cole haha.

And after watching more in game video, I get the sense that they are trying to change this into a more Uncharted type of feeling game.
Uncharted is by far one of my favorite series this gen but I really dont want it for inFamous. I liked the first game`s feel very much for this type of game.





On another note. I just beat infamous again for my plat. And im missing one god damn shard away from my plat. The most annoying thing ever. I hope the next game has an improved system for this collection stuff.

There are 2 shards somewhere that don't appear on the map normally. One is at Ground Zero at a really high building. It only starts showing up when you climb halfway up the building. The second is on a piece of wood in the sea at the Neon District near Zeke's Place. It doesn't normally appear on the map because it's so far out to sea.

If you have both of these then you'll have to use the same method as me and print off a map (I used this one). Then run around each location clicking L3 until you find your missing shard. It helps if you mark off each region you visited. My last shard was a random one in the Neon District on top of an average apartment building that I somehow missed.

I found it! It was just a random one that I missed amoung the buildings. I spent around 2 hours strait just looking for that. I wont be playing anymore collection games for awhile.

It appears that Sucker Punch have indeed accepted the requests from the community and hanged Cole back to a more familiar design, as seen in this trailer.
