Capcom released today their financial report for fiscal year 2010 (April 1st 2009 - March 31st 2010). The numbers show a drop in sales from ¥91,878 million to ¥66,837 million (-27.3%), compared to fiscal year 2009. Operating income was down 61.8%, from ¥14,618 million to ¥5,587 million.

One of the reasons are the poor performance of titles such as Biohazard Darkside Chronicles, Bionic Commando and Dark Void. However, successful titles like Biohazard 5: Alternative Edition, Monster Hunter Tri and Ace Attorney Investigations (DS) "performed satisfactorily".

Capcom also updated their Worldwide Million Seller listing. Biohazard 4: Wii Edition shipped another 100,000 copies during the last quarter (January 1 - March 31), bringing its cumulative total to 1.7 Million copies, compared to 1.6 Million on GameCube and 2.2 Million on PlayStation 2.

More likely no more RE games for Wii, period.

Rail shooters suck. Come on Capcom! Bring back real survival horror. P.S. Biohaze loves you if you do.

I used to have a lot of respect for Capcom. But not now. Not anymore.

I mean, they're just absolute rubbish now. It's all about the jazzed up spin offs, pointless merchandise and Hollywood looting for the money. It's the same with music and movies.

I say they kick out the crap. Give us back what we want! But if they have to do only one thing, make RE a scary series again. Nothing pisses me off more than their lazy rail shooters or half arsed remakes.

i love RE remake tho... i think it is a successful game. however, if u mean those railshooter flashback "remake" like in RE3 (RE:UC) and RE2(RE:DC) than they are pretty bad.

On the contrary, I love the remake of the original RE. It is head & shoulders above most other horror games. Well, except maybe Silent Hill 2 which I think is hands down one of the scariest and dramatic games ever released on the PS2. But yes, the rail shooters based on RE are pants.

I was really looking forward to The Darkside Chronicles, but my joy was short lived when I found out how lame it was. OK, so the South America scenario was of interest to every RE fan, but that didn't really do it for me.
