Sure man.

Just message me when you wanna. Also, I think (at least in PA) we should get the timers first. There's eight minutes available after hitting them, and we can build from there. Losing the combo warrants a restart, but I was able to reach 150 a lot of times yesterday without having to hit them.

Josh and Rebecca get nothing together. Chris and Sheva are always involved to get special melees, Chris for RE1 characters and Sheva for RE5 characters.

I really like Rebecca's unique shoulder melee she gets with Chris, she screams "OH NOOO~" and sprays with two flame sprays.

Josh gets an instantkill straight punch when with Sheva.

Just got done playing a nice bit with Heavy Metal Chris. At first, I was wowed by how easily he racks up time, but as soon as the cephalos and big man majini show up, I was pretty much helpless and had to let Seraph carry (As if he wasn't already  ).

I'm not that great of a player, but I think it'll take quite a nice bit of elaborate team work to use HM Chris effectively.

It's two wacks on a Cephalo with the Stun Rod to kill them, which is a bummer. Getting close is already a pain. Haven't tried on Duvalia.

You did fine glue. You avoided a ton of damage and grabs, which is something I suspect HM Chris will have plenty of trouble with. It takes a ton of bullets from the Gatling Gun to even stun the PA Executioner, so it's completely useless in Duo. It'd be better to have the partner deal with it.

BM Majini is another issue...

Well, I do have a lot of stun rod practice from that pro mode run we did.
The trick is to let the majini approach you so you don't run at them and get hit during the slow attack stance animation, but sometimes that's not an option, and I ended up dropping the combo because of it.

But I did discover a decent way to deal with the BM Majini near the end, but it's pretty situational. Get one in a corner, two whacks with the stun rod will open it up for a melee, and you can repeat this until it dies. Approaching them is the big problem.

well, considering time doesn't really matter as much and reunion is easier to play, any character in reunion can get a high score. not to mention, the characters are quite balanced so even folklore sheva is capable of good scores. i knew combos were more important in reunion than time, but i never realize HOW important. i was stuck at 221K in PA solo with warrior chris and i was wondering how people were getting 500K and 600K. i got a 150 combo and ended with 680K. similar thing happened in the mines and EF. it took me months before i finally broke 500K with battlesuit jill on PA.

even if jill and wesker are the better characters, reunion gives every character a fair shot. they can get scores better than wesker because of the new scoring system.

Of course Folklore is capable of good scores, why would you think she wasn't? She has an amazing weapon layout and her machinegun lets her use her fast melees consistently since it's so strong.

Same with Business Sheva and her handgun.

ALSO, Heavy Metal Chris isn't as bad as I thought he'd be. The stun rod COUNTS AS A MELEE KILL.

well, the simple reason is because i suck with sheva in general foxy. i enjoyed using all the characters in old mercs except for the shevas and BSAA jill. yes, i'm a jill fan, but i don't care for BSAA jill at all. i'm sure you know i love battlesuit. since i sucked with the shevas, i automatically assumed i would suck with folklore. but that wasn't the case. i tried a run with her on EF in solo, and i was REALLY surprised about my score and leaderboard standing. but honestly, reunion is still too young for me to care. but folklore sheva is awesome.

and i know i probably shouldn't bother bringing this up, but i saw a BSAA CHRIS player with 652K in PA solo. i think this was good enough for top 100. this is also better than most wesker players let alone battlesuit jill and BSAA jill players. this message was to AK47 who refused to believe me that chris is capable of amazing scores even without having a melee that instantly kills several manjinis. check the leaderboards if you don't believe me. if a chris can get 652K alone, i'm sure 900K is possible with a good midnight wesker partner. and i'm since the quality of mercs players are higher on the PS3 side, they might be able to get better scores.

Actually no

Rebecca and Excella paired together get a special, the same double flame and double slap attack, And so do Barry and Josh paired together, again the same ones.

And p.s. to everyone...Rebecca rocks and is the best.........ever...and its not arguable

OHHHH NOOOOOO!!!!!

Double Flame Spray is cool, but I've seen Majini live through it. Shouldn't it be stronger than a single spray?

Maybe it's weaker around the edges.

Making this post, i almost wondered if there should be a seperate strategy thread for Mercs Reunion.

But yeah, what a riot Reunion is! I've neve shyed away from how bad i am at Mercs, i'm always happy enough (for now!) to be getting my b-ranks, but obviously that can be a struggle when you're as bad as me!

But on Mercs Reunion, i've just unlocked about seven stages one after the other with Fairytale Sheva! Great fun indeed! Means i've at least been able to experience the maps tweaked for the sake of Mercs, good times! Will definitely spend some more time with this trying to learn the Mercs ropes!

I was thinking of opening another thread for Reunion, but there's not too many Mercenaries fans here.

Reunion is much more accessible.

The people that don't prefer melee can still rack up 500k (solo or duo) from a 150 combo. People who care for solo can really do wonders. Missile Area has got to be one of the harder levels to get a 150 combo, but you're guaranteed a hefty sum if you do.

I'm really liking Josh. He's got some great moves (Iron Tackle!!), and paired with Barry or Sheva he can really shine.
