Do you think RE3 needs a remake?

I think a PS3/360 remake would be much more likely than a Wii remake. Capcom seem to want to be buddy's with Microsoft, and they were just recently complaining that mature games don't sell on the Wii.

I don't think it NEEDS a remake, although I wouldn't mind if they did it as long as the updates are more than the graphics.

I would like to see a remake with the old formula, but honestly I don't think it's needed and however considering that RE2 is much more popular than RE3, I believe a RE2 remake would take the priority.

not exactly, Capcom never complained about anything, it was just Antoine Seux (head of the Capcom's arm in France) who said that the future of Capcom is the PS3 and Xbox 360 and complained about the DSC low sales in France.
Antoine Seux is not Capcom, infact shortly after the mess Capcom Europe denied everything.

Do you honestly think Nemesis battles would work with the new engine? HELL NO.

Nemesis was more aggressive than any majini, any whatever they had in RE4, even Wesker. Nemesis would need to be dumbed down like Wesker if he was to be in the new camera system. The new engine simply just isn't fast enough for RE3 gameplay. Have you ever realized just how fast Jill runs? rofl.

Plenty of things could be added, there's no limit to how expansive they could make Raccoon City, how much more dialogue they could include, backstories to all the characters, files linking/hinting to the Outbreak series, and so much more. Side missions and bonus scenarios with the mercs whatnot, it's just so open for improvement.

Stop for a second. Try to picture it in your head: REmake-style RE3 Jill, running around in gorgeous HD as fast as she did in RE3, shoulder-checking zombies, rolling, side stepping, dodging Nemesis' rockets. It's a beautiful thing...

It could work, make Nemesis's speed over 9000 and add a shitload of quicktime events. :smile:
