So I read that the US version of 'Wii Zero' has 480p and widescreen support.
Does anyone here have it yet?
I'd like to know if the visuals are an obvious improvement. I'm now tempted to buy it again (assuming we get the same upgrades) went it comes to PAL land...

REmake doesnt have progressive scan? :cry: I recently got component cables for my Wii (480p is a must for UC and DSC) and I was looking forward to popping in REmake to see if I could notice the difference. C'mon now, Super Smash Bros. MELEE can have Progressive Scan, but not REmake? (Btw Melee does look alot better in progressive scan haha)

Another example of lazy Capcom selling the fans short, with lack of effort or imagination. The Wii remote would have worked perfectly for Billy & Rebecca's co-op, and the pre-rendered backdrops could have been beautifuly showed off in a higher resolution. Oh well, maybe CVX archives may prove different.

The wii can't even handle a resolution that's above 480p \ 480i (576i and 576p for european consoles), so you can't complain there, 480p is almost the same as 480i, just a little clearer image on HDTV's. Lack of imagination and effort? Haha, really now. I think everyone is aware that capcom loves to milk customers, but mentiong how lazy they are over and over gets old.

I believe RE0 does have progressive scan though. But strangely Remake didn't.

Yeah, sadly when I got my component cables I popped in REmake and was sorely disappointed when I saw my TV autoswitch back to 480i. I really wanted that clearer, sharper experience.

And btw, 480p DOES make a noticeable difference. Every single game I've played after getting my component cables has made me say 'wow that looks so much better', from Umbrella Chronicles to even Super Smash Bros.

Interesting.... my wii forces the game to run at 480p, it does look a bit clearer. Not a huge difference but noticeable. BTW it's not even the wii version i'm running, it's the gamecube one.

This happens with every GCN and Wii game not running at 480p 16:9, that's not a true 480p res but 480i.
