After Raccoon City, the Caucasus Facility incident was quite a death-blow to the Umbrella Corporation. In addition, Umbrella kept losing cases in court, and soon later the company bankrupted. Since then, Ozwell·E·Spencer, the founder of Umbrella's whereabouts became unknown.

-2003
Depending on the information and technology obtained from Albert Wesker, the pharmacutical company Tricell headed for the field of B.O.W.

Just thought I'd confirm that.

Basically, Tricell was originally known as "S" because Capcom were too fucking lazy to think of a name. By the time Degeneration was in development, they called it "Seashell". By the time Degeneration was finished it had finally become "Tricell".

The guide (thus, the timeline) is written by Capcom.

So yeah.

Where does it confirm it? I believe that Tricell is S, but where's the direct confirmation from Capcom?

Haha, this.

Great find News Bot. Though seemingly obvious at this point, it's great to finally hear something as close to a confirmation as we're going to get. Whether we enjoy how Biohazard 5 handled it or not, S/SeaShell/TriCell strived to do big things and was most definitely a good tie. However with them out of the way, I look forward to seeing The Organazation coming out of the shadows and learning of their actual motives.

With pure or tarnished intentions, The Organazation has far too many liabilities aboard. I can sense an impending outbreak.

Yeah. I think Tricell turned out to be S. But S is no longer really what they get called.

The book News Bot is talking about contains the orginal shooting script for Degeneration. The end scene describes Wilpharma being bought out by Seashell.

I'm sure if RE4 ever gets repackaged and re-released with some tweaks one of those tweaks will be 'the giant pharmaceutical corporation Tricell' rather than S.

Also, "Seashell is evil" was one of the hidden lines in RE5 viral campaign.
