So, being me I was rummaging around to see the general reaction to the latest trailer for Dark Biohazard, a mod made by the mighty Dominion. Imagine my shock and horror at not seeing anything here. At least, nothing I can find. If there is already a topic my appologies, and please feel free to delete this post. I could not find it for love nor cashy money.

Anyway, Dark Biohazard, for those of you not in the know, is a Resident Evil 2 mod set in an alternative universe where the S.T.A.R.S team failed to make it out of the mansion. You can imagine this does not end well.

With areas from RE1, RE2, RE3 and all new areas built from the ground up by the men behind the mod, Dominion and C2keo, often nspired by 1.5 the mod is close to a complete rebuild. The website can be found here for more details, http://www.darkbiohazard.com/

For the lazy among you, here are the delicious YouTube videos.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBz8GN_Ak_A - Trailer 1 - Sets the scene, shows a bit of the street, an...interesting bus and a bathroom.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUSQ3W1IXsA - Trailer 2 - Shows the burning RE2 RPD, the new police precinct and sections from RE3's streets.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vL2BtH_0K9U - Trailer 3 - Focuses heavily on the RE1 Spencer Mansion and Crimson Heads. Plus a new and very, very creepy enemy.

Bonus videos, for your enjoyment.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRXrEw8jSr4 - How to get a magnum.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mHklhwm2LQ - Restless Nightmares - A halloween joke video. Probably.

Oh man you'r right, it's strange but this is the first thread about Dark Biohazard here

btw, glad to see the website has been updated, wow, and the new trailer is soo awesome
thanks for the update Darkmoon, too much time has passed from the Dark Biohazard Interview Feature on THIA (1 year?) and i was expecting something new around this Halloween.

Since you are a staff member of the project, can i ask you informations on just how much time it will take to complete this project? I can't wait to play it.

As soon as can be finished is the simple answer there. It's a side project, sadly, as both Dominion and C2keo are busy with work, and in the case of C2keo two jobs. I haven't been given any particular time esitamte either, so it's a baited breath situation.

I remember talking about it here, not sure where it went.

Looks good, wondering if anything will come of it. New trailer looks like fun. It'd be nice to revisit some of the areas retouched and without the usual layout of progression.

It's good to have news about you and your work again ! All the videos are simply amazing, I'm surprised to find zombies children...they are really scary, but it's a very good idea !

He didn't just "make the zombies faster", he put Crimson Heads in the game.

Considerably less excited for this than i was when i saw my first trailer for the game. First time around there was a lot of new stuff to get excited about...this time, it's the old game with a bunch of game-breaking (to me) Crimson Heads. There just seems to be way too many of them to deal with properly.

And i thought the trailer was overly long, bordering almost on pretentious. Very good imagery used (the girl in body bag over an Umbrella logo was brilliant) but i thought it was drawn out a little too much with too many cheesy taglines laid over it.

The children? Not sure it has any place in Resident Evil to be honest. Looks very disturbing, Silent Hill kind of disturbing. Hopefully it'll be handled with a bit of taste or else if the "outside world" gets hold of it we'll just be looking at baby killing simulator or some melodramatic shit like that.

Your post sounds disturbingly familiar Stu. Disturbingly!

The number of Crimson Heads in the trailer don't represent the number you'll tackle in game. It's more to do with drama and showing off what the mod can do rather than being representative in gameplay. Think of it like those RE5 trailers that showed wall to wall Majini filing whole streets. It never happened in game but it looks awesome.

There is a good reason behind the kiddie zombies. As I've said elsewhere, I'm not a fan of child zombies as a rule, or any children in horror, but here it's relevant and links to a real universe plot point. Sadly I can't give any more away than that.

Also; I didn't make this mod. I just work on it. All Praise Dominion.
